Glen Beck is Scaring the Poo out of Me
The Glen Beck Show | 11/8/2010 | MsLady

Posted on 11/08/2010 3:03:43 PM PST by MsLady

Ok, normally I can handle what Glen has to say. But, what he's been saying the past 2 weeks is scaring the cr*p out of me. Has anyone else been watching him? And does anyone have any feedback on what he's been saying. I honestly don't know enough about economics to gage if what he's saying is far fetched of if our world is on the edge of complete collapse.

I do realize we are living in the days before Christ return and I believe what he says will happen at some point. I would just like some feedback. And a really big pacifier...lol

I suspect she does not follow her own advice. Like most elitists.

.223 FMJ 10000+ rounds
.308 5000+ rounds.

I've been meaning to ask for a long time now.
What good are 10,000 rounds of anything if a few molotov cocktails and home made explosives can burn your house down in ten minutes?

Unless your house is bulletproof and fireproof.

10,000 rounds?
I don't think so. I certainly wouldn't want to arm the Obama voters.

Sounds pretty much what we have been doing.

I have a gut feeling it's going to make the carter years look great. We can only hope it's not any worse then that.

criticising another consertave????

Criticizing. Conservative.

See, what you are doing is typing non-words. They don't exist. They have no meaning.

Speak English.

Back around 2006-2007, my husband and I were looking for a condo to rent in Las Vegas. A Realtor told us that an Asian client told her to sell all his holdings, and he owned more than a few condos. He was insistent that she sell them immediately for whatever she could get. My husband used to be a developer and was sure that signaled a coming bad down turn in the market; that coupled with the excessive building in Las Vegas. My husband tried to warn a friend with a wife and 2 young kids it was a bad time to buy and the market would take a large down turn. They bought anyway because they were afraid prices would just continue higher. They’re now renting after going the short sale route. They were lucky to get out early. We tried to warn them....

...a wise man’s heart discerneth both time and judgment. (Ecc. 8:5)

We rely heavily on just-in-time delivery. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what will happen to grocery stores if just-in-time delivery is interrupted after the last few hurricanes that rolled through and stores were emptied. My grandmother’s generation had root cellars, gardens, etc., and canned to get themselves through winter. Being prepared for extended times without a grocery store is wise and prudent.

In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has.(Prov. 21:20)

It’s also wise to be able to protect one’s self and have barter items. My prized Christmas present last year was a German made can opener. I think the hunting knife was for my birthday. My Walther was because I was jealous of my 14 year old daughter’s ;)

I'm thinking the poster (least I HOPE the poster) is thinking cache's. Ingress, egress lines, un-rep sites (off the beaten path of course); perimeter lp/op sites around the main home and any secondary owned property's.
It's a good deal of ammo; but REAL hard to get mobile with in a hurry; as you say " I certainly wouldn't want to arm the Obama voters." ('cause of leaving ammo behind in a hurry??)

But I wouldn’t worry about his apocalyptic predictions. And need I remind you his #1 sponsor is a Gold broker?

What kind of a silly gratuitous presumptuous statement is that?

I watch his TV show daily (DVR) and my IQ hasn't dropped and everything I learned in a lifetime of study is still valid.
Gold broker commercials have zero effect on me; as it must to the ordinary American.

If storing food makes me a target when TSHTF, what would owning gold do?

Everybody with any sense needs to decide for himself how much to believe, make a decision and act or not act accordingly. No one is forced to do a thing.

Allow for unintended consequences?

Thank you, the name calling doesn’t bother me. It’s more annoying like the gnat that just keeps buzzing around your head. I do however have a retarded child and don’t appreciate the nasty way that he used that. This kind of thing could be very destructive and hurtful to someone who was sensitive and maybe dealing with a lot. To bad he’s so selfish he’s thinking only of himself and not of others. Abusive and cruel is what it is.

Because... they make things they can sell to others, or to each other.. they don’t need, or LIKE the US.

Seeing us collapse would just make them feel better about themselves... They’ve become accustomed to being told THEY are the most important country now... and, they believe it.

The far left took over the Democrats in the seventies yet people kept going to the polls and voting as if it was still the traditional Democratic party. Finally, it has hit the fan and enough people are seeing that the Democrats are extreme, but why did it take so long?

HG... It’s possible to be correct, and still be rude.

If you can’t say something nice... rag on a lib.

We have two guns and some ammo, probably not enough.

What is enough?
Common sense tells me that the limiting factor is the number of bodies defending a home, not the number of guns and ammunition. A roomful of ammo is useless without the bodies and the weapons to use them effectively.
Which home will you defend? All friends and relatives?

Think about it.

As for living in a small town hours from big cities, where do you think the Obama voters consider the softest targets are? They will get there eventually, after they have razed the closest "safe" towns. Destroy the water supply or the power distribution and you're helpless.

I have my own ideas on how to deal with chaos; but I need not verbalize it because common sense will identify it for anybody with a brain.

There is no stronger motivation than the survival of family and community.

Was this thread about Glenn Beck and the trouble our country is facing or about spelling? I’m losing track.

If anyone is interested, freepmail me; there are a few extensions you can use to block all their communique locally like they never existed.

Perhaps you should suggest it to Jim Robinson.
I have been hoping for just such a tool for the last 12 years.

I would think most Freepers would love to learn how to do that.

Too many self-important morons clutter up interesting and useful threads.

Honestly; it was that particular poster that prompted me to investigate such a plugin. I would like to state however, it would be a LOCAL users tool; not site oriented. I don’t want FR to block the “experience”. If someone wishes to run it locally on their hardware; what is FR to say??
