A growing number of people are cutting down on daily showering and hair-washing. So could you join the extreme soap-dodgers? If you are reading this article over breakfast, the chances are you have recently stepped into the shower, lathered up your hair and torso, rinsed off, towelled and blow-dried, before dousing your armpits with deodorant, and wafting on a fog of perfume or aftershave.

Actually, I think two showers a week supplemented by sink washes should keep a person pretty clean if they don’t work in particularly dirty occupations.

My Grandma was clean as you please and only washed her hair once a week. It didn’t need any more than that.

Not everyone can do that, though. Certainly I can’t.

Never mind that carbon foot print crap. What this means is that we will all die of poisonous gas called “body odor” by other humans!!!

This is my nightmare...

Elderly man found dead in septic tank
http://www.fox19.com/global/story.asp?s=12841131
WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Clayton Morehead, 85, was found dead in a septic tank and the man who had been a friend of his for 30 years was the one who made the horrifying discovery.

Denny Taylor found his friend at his home in the 5200 block of Lawrenceburg Drive after coming to the house to cut the lawn.

“When I went over there say feet sticking out that’s it,” said Taylor.

The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office is trying to determine just how Clayton Morehead died, but the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office says it appears he was attempting to clean the septic tank when the accident happened.

“It was just the fact when inverted head first hard to get back up, through a hole, when you’re up to your waist, a precarious situation, can’t correct,” said Bill Zoz, Delhi Township Fire Chief.

I have made it a point of my New Year’s resolutions to increase my carbon footprint by driving more (am lucky enough now to avoid a lenghty work commute) for pleasure and timewaste, cruising as we used to call it.

Someone mentioned on the radio that supposedly, eating a steak is like driving an SUV for a few hours.

So, I’m gonna go to steakhouses over an hour away!

And then indulge in a late night winter shower for no reason at all!

I have an aversion to odd numbers but it doesn’t cripple me. I know it’s weird and if I can’t change a number I can leave it as is and it doesn’t freak me out, but I know it’s not normal. I’m always relieved when I move from an odd number age to an even number age. LOL A girl I work with can’t stand anything that isn’t straight, as in lined up properly. She will move furniture and other items continuously until everything is perfectly lined up. She even measures stuff to make sure. That would drive me nuts.

As far as baths go, I take two a day, one in the morning before work and one before bed. I can’t wake up properly without the morning bath and I can’t sleep without the nightly bath. :-)

People also used to have lice and serious diseases.

We are past little house on the prairie and we don’t live in France.

The lib hippies and DIMs already sympathize with middle-east Muslims, now they want to smell like them too.

I lived in Europe for several years and traveled quite a bit. They have some beautiful cities and old architecture, but I'll be damned if I'm going to smell like them, uhhh.

The fact is ultimately this, I pay the bills for my water and my electricity, so I'll take as many damn showers/baths as I want to, which is usually 2-3 a day.

I will continue to shower once a day, sometimes twice.

I will continue to drive my gas hog truck, worse yet, my very thirsty boats.

I will eat steak any time I want to.

If these idiots want to go back to the caves, fine, but they should stay away from me.

Why would I want to give up smelling pretty and practicing good personal hygiene.

These people are dumber than a bag of hammers and will likely be the first to experience the plaque.

Let’s also keep in mind people have become such pampered wimps they view an article about skipping a shower once in a while to, well, cause a stink.

If I were where you are I would take 1 hour long showers to escape the heat.
