What a moment!
George Bush 41 and George Bush 43 entered the stadium together tonight to throw out the first ball at the World Series.
THE CROWD ROARED. Then GW threw a strike to homeplate catcher Nolan Ryan to start off game 4.
What a wonderful moment.

Me too.
we know.....we KNOW....
George H.W. Bush turned 86 last June 12th.
Biggest mistake, TARP. Second, allowing himself to be treated as a doormat/punching-bag by the libs & media, without ever fighting back. Otherwise, a decent prez, although not conservative enough on the small government front. Regardless, infinitely better than the current POS we have.
I voted for W twice, and supported him until I couldnt anymore. I just wish hed been more conservative.
Me too.
when you start to think this way, please consider what the alternative would have been...I would have voted for either of them ten more times rather than turn the country over to Obama and the “progressives”.....by the way, why do they call those who want us to be more like the soviet union progressive?????
Hey, whatever else you want to say about him, the man knows how to throw a first pitch!
On another note, I know this is Texas and the crowd is charged up for a World Series game, but that was still a pretty good ovation. It got me thinking... Obama won in 2008 in large part because he was Not Bush. Have we now reached the point where Bush gets an ovation for being Not Obama?
Nothing to add here - you said it all.
Just like the family next door....Nice folks. I thank them for their service.
Yes, I did. That's why I voted for W twice.
I would have voted for either of them ten more times rather than turn the country over to Obama and the progressives
W didn't run against Obama. McCain did and I vote for him even though I don't like McCain very much.
by the way, why do they call those who want us to be more like the soviet union progressive?????
That's easy to answer: euphemism.
Cool story, Jvette. I also came home from the dark side, but my escape happened during the Lewinsky scandal.
Good to have you.
Yeah, I miss GW, too.
No doubt W was better than Obama, but not infinitely better. But there were major problems with W's presidency. For one thing, spending was out of control. W did understand that the enemy is radical Islam, but he didn't have the courage to talk about that directly. Instead he talked about "terrorism". And once he started the war, W mismanaged it by trying to wage a kinder and gentler war.
Perhaps Republicans will get back on track now that the Tea Party has gained some traction.
I know exactly what you're talking about, and I agree. There's a combination of pride, admiration, and a feeling of relief that a brave American, an actual MAN and a believing Christian, is running the country.
I kind of felt the same thing when the video went to shots of Barbara and Laura Bush. They are actual ladies, which is something we haven't had in the White House in the past eighteen months.
Although I have my issues with the man...he is far above the pile of crap in the White House right now. He also always zips the ball across the plate. Good man.
A real man threw out the first pitch tonight not like the limp wrist sissy currently residing in the White House.
Agree. Barbara and Laura, as with their husbands, just brought dignity to the White House, whatever my differences with their personal beliefs. They all come from a time when no matter WHAT your politics, at base you believed in what this country was, as opposed to those who, at base, think this is all a big mistake that has to be redone.
(nice pitch W!)
I couldn’t agree more. The days of having respect for the Office of the President of the United States are disappearing. While I am a conservative, I didn’t always agree with him and all of his policies. However, I never once doubted his heart and committment to his country. Thank God for President Bush and his father, President Bush.
Now if I could only wake up from this bad dream I’ve had for the past 2 years...
G W gripped it across the seams and threw a fast ball.
No offense, but you've never been president. Looking at the elder Bush his health is not good. This man was parachuting only a couple of years back. On the other hand he is 86 now.
Ryan threw out the pitch for Saturday night’s game, he threw a respectable 68 mph. I was concern his weight would be a problem because he has packed on a few pounds.
