Keith Richards Desperate to Road-Test New Drugs!

KEITH Richards wants to “road-test” any new drugs that are invented.

The Rolling Stones rocker — who admits to have using numerous illegal substances over the years, including heroin and cocaine — doesn’t take drugs anymore, but he would if something new came on the market.

“I’ve given up everything now — which is a trip in itself,” Keith said.

“I’m just waiting for them to invent something more interesting, ha ha. I’m all ready to road-test it, when they do.”

Keith gave up heroin in 1978, and was forced to quit cocaine in 2006 after accidentally falling from a coconut tree and undergoing brain surgery.

“That was cocaine I had to give up for that,” he said. “You’re like, ‘I’ve got the message, oh Lord.’”

Because of his wild past, the 66-year-old musician is convinced he will be going to hell when he dies.

“Well I’m not putting death on the agenda,” he said. “I don’t want to see my old friend Lucifer just yet. He’s the guy I’m gonna see, isn’t it? I’m not going to the Other Place, let’s face it.”

Keith is also proud of the amount of time he has spent on the Most Likely To Die list over the years.

“I used to read it, check I was still on there,” he said. “I was on it longer than anyone else. Badge of honor!”

The rocker also admits his drug habit was so extreme, he had a custom made hat to hide his supplies, and a side-panel in his car filled with illegal substances.

“There was a flap at the side in which I’d stowed hash, Tuinals and coke,” he added.

“I’d spent hours packing the side-panel of the car with coke, grass, peyote and mescaline.”

In the event of a nuclear holocaust the only survivors would be cockroaches and Keith Richards.
I’m totally convinced of this.

“I was reading an interview with Keith Richards in a magazine and in the interview Keith Richards intimated that kids should not do drugs. Keith Richards! Says that kids should not do drugs! Keith, we can’t do any more drugs because you already f’ing did them all, alright! There’s none left! We have to wait ‘till you die and smoke your ashes! Jesus Christ! Talk about the pot and the f’in’ kettle.” - Dennis Leary (No Cure for Cancer)

I am completely serious in this remark:

This guys DNA should be seriously tested. Anyone that could survive what he has put his body through has to have something different in his genetic make-up than the rest of us!

I doubt the guy has ever had or ever will have cancer or any other serious illness - I don’t think it could have survived.

Well, he could get copies of PihKAL and TihKAL and go through the list, one at a time. That would occupy him for a few months...

As for his hardiness, he probably takes or took drugs every day, but not in heroic doses, not every day. His reputation is probably bigger than his actual habits.

I am certainly not a Rolling Stones fan. But I was moved to pity when I read that quotation. The very thought of just languidly accepting eternal damnation is just so very sad.

It doesn't often occur to me to pray for these guys, but many souls go to hell because there is no one to pray for them. Pray (at least once) for the soul of Keith Richards.

It's not even despair, which would be bad enough. Just...acceptance. I never thought I'd find myself praying for Keith Richards, but yeah, he needs them.

I’m so glad the grace of God doesn’t’t depend on a good past - repent and believe upon Jesus Christ, Keith, for He is the Way and the Truth and the Life. He takes us as we are, but makes us into what He wants us to be.

In the excerpts from his book I have read he says that he had more control than most people when it came to drugs. The way he put it was that he was only looking to get high and not more high. Basically he would do coke at the beginning of the night and not keep doing it all night like others.

Big time publicity folks have written in their “tell-all” books that the famous really don’t do everything that is in the news. Britney Spears does the crash and rehab-scene in full view of photographers because the photographers were notified ahead of time. Then Spears leaves the clinic that night to sleep in her own house. Gets the news story she wants. Keith and Britney are just examples of successful publicity schemes that keep the names of the famous in front of fans, longer than would talent alone. The saying is, “Any news is good news” for the famous.

If you're familiar the Stones' songs you'll realize these guys are somewhat fans of Satan. I doubt Richards realizes the consequences of his allegience.

It doesn't often occur to me to pray for these guys, but many souls go to hell because there is no one to pray for them. Pray (at least once) for the soul of Keith Richards.

What a preposterous doctrine. The fact is that if a person is determined to sin, he's lost and nobody can "pray" him into heaven.

1 John 5:16 16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

BTW, the "sin not unto death" happens to be any sin one repents of. Any unrepented of sin is a sin unto death.

Are you claiming that your interpretation of scripture is authoritative? On what basis can one pray for the spiritual well-being of another, if prayers for another's spiritual welfare are not efficacious?
