The Beatles- (Stoned out of their minds)

While George is completely out of it, oddly enough, Ringo seems fine. Paul is buzzed, as well as John.

That’s because they’re not really playing (or singing).

I never cared for the Beatles.

They were either too “I Want To Hold Your Hand” or too “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.”

But, I must say that George Harrison's music is my style.

I didn’t like the Beatles then. Don’t like them now. They were overrated losers and still are. BTW. I didn’t like Elvis either..

They were popular because they were different and “fresh” in a “Hope and Change” kind of way. The kids loved them because their parents hated them.

And that’s why groups with real talent like the Bee Gees, Michael Jackson, AC/DC, the Eagles, and Pink Floyd have clobbered them in overall record sales over the past 40 years.

Oh what the heck. Also Stan Rogers, John Stewart (Also Kingston Trio), Gordon Bok, Iris Dement and of course John Prine.

The Beatles?! Elvis?! Bunch of non-talents.

Now, the New Kids On The Block. (NKOTB) There’s a bunch of guys who had far more musical talent than the Beatles. I don’t care if the Beatles did write their own material, and played their own instruments, while NKOTB just lip-synched their way to success. Years from now, in the distant future, no one will even remember The Beatles or Elvis. But musical talents like NKOTB and Brittany Spears, that’s who history will remember.

George Harrison became my favorite Beatle. It’s a shame he died so horribly.

Nope...not at all. precursor to the overproduced junk today. Give me one performer with no bells and whistles, no fancy suits, just talent. Better than Beatles any day.

Kingston Trio...that's more like it. The Beatles and the Kingston Trio met early in the Beatle’s career. Capital records had a party and the two musical groups were introduced. It was the same party where Dylan introduced the Beatles to weed. I was hooked on the Trio early in my life when my Father took me to see them at the NCO Club at Yakota AFB back in 1961. Only Bob Shane is surviving of the entire group and he's barely at that.
