The Beatles?! Elvis?! Bunch of non-talents.

Now, the New Kids On The Block. (NKOTB) There’s a bunch of guys who had far more musical talent than the Beatles. I don’t care if the Beatles did write their own material, and played their own instruments, while NKOTB just lip-synched their way to success. Years from now, in the distant future, no one will even remember The Beatles or Elvis. But musical talents like NKOTB and Brittany Spears, that’s who history will remember.

When Elvis came out in the 50’s his brand of singing was revolutionary....at first no one knew he was white. His singing and gospel was so similar to the R and B of the day, he was dubbed the king for that reason...I first heard his singing when I worked at the 5 and dime store...They played the latest songs in the store and everyone didn't know who he was, but was sure he was black...his singing put rock and roll to shame...that was strictly for the white kids and R &B was negro culture and they had to get white singers like Pat Boone to cover the R and B music of the 50’s and 60’s....then came Fats Domino, Chubby Checker Billy ward and the Domino's and Jackie Wilson and a few others that did great cross over songs.... Elvis was the one that busted that whole genre out of the negro culture....(afro americans was not even in the vocab. yet...That came late in the 60's....
