Do Ribs posses stem cells?

21 And the Lord God caused a a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 22 Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He 8made into a woman, band He brought her to the man.

This got me thinking. God did not later Adam's DNA he just took some regenerative part of him and made Eve. Have Scientists tinkered with stem cells from the human rib cage? Imagine the potential!

I believe all bone marrow contains stem cells.

“Do Ribs posses stem cells?”
Depends on how you cook them. I like the Sweet baby Ray’s honey Barbecue Sauce and slow cook the baby backs for a long time.

I think we’ve ALL been misled by *snakes* before. (although we don’t know how many brain genes there were in that rib marrow.)

NO SERIOUSLY. THE RIBS ARE CAPABLE OF REGENERATING THEMSELVES NOT JUST HEAL.

Bone marrow generally contains stem cells ... ribs have bone marrow, but there's much more of it in femurs. God wouldn't be troubled by that. Man has fewer capabilities.
You're on the right track, though. "Adult" stem cells from bone marrow, fat, and other sources already form the basis for numerous successful treatments of disease.

Two men got on an elevator going up and there was a naked lady standing there.
One man said to he “Good morning Eve how are You?.” She said “fine thank you”
When they got off , one asked the other....did you know that woman? hos did you know her name was eve?
Pretty obvious the guy replied....... she had no belly button

I’m always curious when those who accept biblical supernaturalism contort themselves and logic to fit the stories into a more “natural” construct.
it really doesn’t make much sense. While it is curious that mammalian ribs are pretty much the only bones that can regenerate (under exacting and rather unnatural conditions), why would God have to bother with this? Why would god make Eve from Adam parts with teh same DNA as Adam - meaning Cain and Abel would be born of identical twins?
No, if you ascribe science to the supernatural, it all falls apart i’m afraid.

GMTA. Barbecued ribs was my first thought too.
To: edcoil; wolfcreek; Cletus.D.Yokel
Personally, I put my ribs on a rack over about 2" of beer in a roasting pan, cover them, and beer-steam them in the oven at about 225-250 degrees for two or three hours. Then I put them on the grill with some smoking hickory chips and finish them with Jack Daniels Old No. 7 BBQ sauce. It's time-consuming, but they're sweet, tangy, smoky, and the meat falls off the bone.
What were we talking about again?
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

Why would god make Eve from Adam parts with teh same DNA as Adam - meaning Cain and Abel would be born of identical twins? "Identical"? They were different sexes.
Btw, I'm one of those who "accepts biblical supernaturalism", and I see no need to add anything to the story. Happens that if the rib was to be regrown, something would have been said about it, but we are only told that the place was "closed up".
Nothing about any new rib or regeneration, which would be an irrelevant detail.
No, if you ascribe science to the supernatural, it all falls apart im afraid.
You say "science" there, but it appears that you might mean something closer to "materialism". Unless you consider the terms to be synonyms.

Bone marrow was the first source used for stem cell transplants because it has a rich supply of stem cells. The bones of the pelvis (hip) contain the most marrow and have large numbers of stem cells in them. For this reason, cells from the pelvic bone are used most often for a bone marrow transplant. Enough marrow must be removed to collect a large number of healthy stem cells.

I think that the “rib” actually refers to a rib of DNA. Strong’s Concordance #6763 Hebrew Section says a rib (as curved). I believe that that curve may have referred to the Helix Curve meaning DNA. I could be wrong, but it seemed to make sense to me.
