Whenever you use Yan Lu's "Poor Little Fishbowl Sink," water in the above fishbowl drains, resulting in a life-threatening situation for its resident goldfish. That's a clever way of reminding us that our wasteful practices can directly affect other creatures (and that, for much of the world, water issues are matters of life or death).

There is another side to that equation as well.
High in the atmosphere, water molecules are broken down into their constituent hydrogen and oxygen.
The hydrogen, which is lighter and faster, has more of a tendency to escape into space, leaving the monatomic oxygen atoms behind.

Typical liberals. They actually will devise things that will kill an animal to in their small minds make a bigger point - the end justifies the means.
They are the ones who make the stupid bowl, they are the ones that put an actual fish in there, and they are the ones that would make someone use the sink - but they’d blame you if the fish died.
I think it’s time they stopped putting everyone else’s (and everything else’s) lives at risk to make a ‘clever’ point. I think they ought to risk their own lives. Put one of them in an airtight chamber and have an air hose from that to a gas dryer or gas stove and make people feel bad for wanting dry clothes or cooked food. See if they will stop before enough air is gone that they pass out.
(Hint they would anyway because CO2 would build up. Even if nobody used the gas appliance, they’d kill themself off. Actually this would be a pretty good metaphor.)
LOL! It took more water to manufacture that fish bowl sink than that sink will ever use. Ecoterrorists are idiots.
How about, instead of a fish, we put a colony of E.coli bacteria in the bowl, and instead of water, it fills up with Purel? The longer you wash your hands, the more the bowl fills up, keeping the dangerous bacteria under control.
THAT’S the lesson I want my kids to learn.

True. It is a very complex thing, and most importantly, it is DESIGNED to be self-balancing. We only seem to accumulate as much ‘water’ as is needed. The ‘excess’ hydrogen is vented to space, and the oxygen is turned into ozone by the energy from the Sun. Nothing is wasted, everything has a purpose.
Still stupid ... but at least it makes a bit more sense.

Gee whiz. I had to look that up. Ew.
Both videos made me smile. And you even got me to listen to 4min 10sec of "GA GA OOH LA LA!" But these are sounds I used to make in my father's electronics lab and not something I want to fill my listening hours with.
(I'm kind of a music snob, although I don't like that word 'cause I don't really look down on other music, and I try to hear as many types of music as possible, I just don't feel entertained by most pop stuff. Except rap. Rap sucks. I reject rap entirely.)
