Prayers up for Mr Douglas.
On a related note, I finally found “Falling Down” at a used video store. What an awesome movie and how appropriate for the current times. Douglas does a spectacular job.
I highly recommend this movie, though I fear it will be as hard to find as Song of the South.
You did a REALLY bad job of excerpting the article, by the way.
Sounds like my mother’s case. They kept telling her she had the flu but it turned out she had cancer of the esophagus, by the time they found it, it has advanced so far that they couldn’t save her. I don’t Blame CZJ for being pi**ed, I was extremely angry about my mom.
“Douglas, 65, is now undergoing radiation and chemotherapy five days-a-week every three weeks to rid himself of a walnut-sized tumor at the base of his tongue.”
That is a big tumor especially where it is located.
And the article says that it is a late stage four cancer but he has a 80% chance of beating it.
That doesn’t compute, IMO.
She should be furious with him for smoking.
I say this as a medical professional; she’s going to be shocked by what he looks like after he’s finished with treatment. I hope she has the fortitude to be by his side through it.
I hope Mr. Douglas wins his battle against cancer, but that being said, where in heaven's name are the EDITORS at yahoo-news?
"LOOSING his strength"? Good grief!
Well, I’ll PRAY HARD for Mr. Douglas.
“Falling Down” and being Producer/Director (?) of “One Flew Over The
Cuckoo Nest” buys him a lot of stock with me.
(just speaking for myself alone)

Frank Zappa had the same thing happen to him. He went to doctor after doctor and was told nothing was wrong until his prostate cancer became inoperable.
54 posts before a picture? Unacceptable!
Here:
Who cares? Most of us with cancer go undiagnosed for a period of time. Normal people don’t complain about it.
So...doctors should be psychic? Unless one knows the circumstances furious is inappropriate. Disappointed, maybe?
Prayers for Michael Douglas (although I still hate him for wrecking the U.S. nuclear industry with "The China Syndrome")
