Sounds like my mother’s case. They kept telling her she had the flu but it turned out she had cancer of the esophagus, by the time they found it, it has advanced so far that they couldn’t save her. I don’t Blame CZJ for being pi**ed, I was extremely angry about my mom.

Sorry for your loss. My husband had been seeing an oncologist for nearly a year. He kept telling this bozo that something was very wrong with him but this guy told him it had nothing to do with cancer. Well, he lost 60 lbs without trying,lost his muscle tone, etc. Finally, my daughter and I took him to UAB where they did a simple ct scan and found a tumor, 5x5x5 in his liver. He died 2 months later.

Who were you angry with? My husband had the best doctors available, they couldn’t determine that he had metastaic melanoma as there was no outside evidence. It was stage 4. It is what it is.

My friend Evelyn, has had multiple cancers, breast, kidney, thyroid, this last one was a return of thyroid cancer, 1st doc said it was nothing, 2nd said it was cancer, she had to go for 3rd opinion which agreed with doc #2. They got it all they think and no treatment was necessary. Always go for more opinions if you have any doubts.

My friends husband complained of nasal drip for months and months.....ended up brain-cancer and too late to stop that particuliar kind of cancer. He was gone in less than a year.

Douglas has “four stage cancer” which generally isn’t good news...but does depend on the type.

Similar story here .... My mom’s doc kept telling her for months that she had a bladder infection, kept feeding her antibiotics for this so-called infection, never sent her on to a specialist or even an OB/GYN. When she finally got so weak she could barely stand, my dad carted her over to the hospital and informed them there that he was not taking her home until they told him what was wrong with her. Turned out she had ovarian cancer, mestastasized throughout her abdomen. Fifteen days after my dad took her to the hospital, she was gone. I just hope her so-called “doctor” has a similar experience for himself.

You have to be your own advocate, and also advocate for the ones you love.
