BALL & CHAIN

Edgar and Mallory call their relationship quits. As they say their final goodbyes, the ex-lovers are nearly hit by a meteorite that, it turns out, imbues them with extraordinary powers. Unfortunately, the powers only work when they are in close proximity to each other. Though the last thing they want to do is stay together.

ME AND LEE

A down-on-his-luck 20-something undergoes back surgery, only to find that the procedure did not go well. Enter Lee Majors, who claims he has the perfect solution. He entices the young man into his ultra high-tech lab and makes him bionic.

ORION

National Treasure meets Firefly in this swashbuckling space opera about an adventurous female relic hunter and her team as they hunt down — and sometimes steal — valuable and powerful objects to sell on the black market.

SHERWOOD

In this “Robin Hood” story for the 23rd century, a young man of privilege teams up with a misfit spaceship crew to right the wrongs of his family.

LEGENDARY

Kevin Sorbo plays an exaggerated version of himself… a former syndicated television series star. When a fan approaches Sorbo to enlist his skills in combating the underworld mythological creatures that threaten to destroy Los Angeles.

HUMAN RELATIONS

The Office meets Men in Black in this project featuring an office Temp who slowly discovers that his off-kilter and odd-ball bosses at the strange hi-tech “ad agency” where he works are really aliens working on a plan to destroy the Earth.

ZEROS

The zombie population of Marshall City overcomes the 30-foot barrier separating the infected people from the rest of the city, the Zombie Extermination and Removal Operations company (the Zeros) are called in to keep the peace.

Full title Syfy Announces Development Slate of 7 New Scripted Projects Featuring ‘Ball & Chain,’ ‘Me and Lee,’ ‘Orion‘ & ‘Sherwood‘.

"In development" doesn't mean a series commitment but how could anyone pass on Kevin Sorbo and Lee Majors.

ORION might work though if they give it to Katee Sackkoff.

"Those all sound wonderfully terrible."

Orion sounds fun. I like Campy Space Opera!

Without “MEGA PIRANHA; THE SERIES”, life just doesn’t seem worth it...

Several of these new SyFy programs are 30-minute programs.

Several of them sound like real duds, but I have been surprised that wrestling and ghost hunters get as many viewers as they do.

==

Mary the Psychic received the lowest ratings of all rated cable programs the night of her premier.

I wonder whether she saw that one coming. If so, she should have informed SyFy not to bother.

I actually got hooked on the whole Tremors rage -- movies and the short-lived TV series. I still watch them occasionally.

I totally agree. I watched a few episodes of Firefly over the weekend on Netflix. This was a great show. That’s the story of my life, if I like a show it gets cancelled. Firefly, Heroes, Life, Battlestar Galactica, Caprica.

Well, they killed off Wash, and the good Shepard really died.

Canceling Firefly was the Fox Network’s greatest mistake. It has been over five years and people are still filled with lament. I believe it would have been Joss Whedon’s best show.

I recently watched Buffy and Angel, Whedon’s two longer playing shows. They both started out slow but neither one of them came up to the level of Firefly. I keep wondering what would have happened if we had gotten four or five seasons of Firefly. Because of Fox, we’ll probably never know.

(And yes, I know there are Firefly comic books.)

I’m not interested until they come up with a futuristic version of the Beverly Hillbillies.

Syfy, in general, presents some of the worst acting on TV. I’d rather watch ‘em chop onions on the food channel.

I can remember when The Love Boat was the floating old folks home for fading actors desperately seeking work.

Now it appears that SyFy has taken on that most distinctive mantle of the low budget TV food chain.

Just sayin'

Jack.

It is probably all MY fault.

I saw the last three episodes and was hooked. That means it had to be canceled because I liked it. I know titanicsuccess thinks it is he but I can almost guarantee it was I who killed the series.
