[history]
PROVO The former BYU student accused of attacking a woman with a stun gun pleaded guilty Tuesday to a lessened degree of aggravated assault.
Stetson Geo Hallam, 20, had been charged with aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony, following an April 6 incident that he claimed was an April Fool's joke, according to a police affidavit filed in 4th District Court.
Charges say Hallam, the victim's home teacher in their LDS Church ward, pressured the 19-year-old woman to meet him so he could "give her a gift."
The woman told police Hallam waited outside her Provo apartment for her to return, then asked her to go to a basement laundry room as part of a scavenger hunt.
Once in the room, Hallam attacked her with a Taser-like weapon, pinned her to the ground and tried to handcuff her, the affidavit states. Despite the electric shock, the woman began screaming and fighting back, and at one point bit Hallam's finger, according to court documents. She later told police she thought Hallam was trying to rape her.
After being bitten, Hallam released the woman, apologized, and said it was just an April Fool's joke, the affidavit states. Police found burn marks on the woman's arm from the weapon and a bite mark on Hallam's hand.
Hallam pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and obstruction of justice, second-degree felonies. He is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 9 and faces up to 15 years in prison.

Home teaching is the responsibility of all Melchizedek Priesthood holders and of those who are teachers and priests in the Aaronic Priesthood.

Lame response full of misquotes. You are drowning in your hatred of Mormons. Then here is YOUR chance to clear the record!
Please post the FACTS that will PROVE these are MISQUOTES!
Otherwise, the jury will accept them as TRUE!

It does get a bit tiring seeing colofornian piggy-backing on the FR as his personal blog to carry out his psychotic hate campaign. JR should charge him for the bandwidth. Good idea!!!
Now if we can get some money out of the MITT lovers that post here as well...

That's what's so GREAT about them - watching MORMON folks either...1. Crying about being out of context...
2. Whining about how they have NEVER taught any crazy stuff like that...
3. Pouting that they no LONGER teach stuff like that...
4. Sniffling that ANTI's (Flying Inmen to the un-initiated) are HATERs and BIGOTs for even DARING to post things from Official MORMON Sources...

There you go again.
In Post #25, you whine about people attributing motives to your little well-organized clique of Mormon haters.
Then, just a couple of posts later, you are doing the exact same thing to your enemy.
Also, you ought to drop "reagan" from your name. The great Ronald Reagan had a great respect for the Mormon people and, judging by the lopsided voting margins which they gave him, the respect was mutual.
I also have enough Mormon friends to know your story about the "bishop" is either an aberration, you are leaving out key details, or you are just telling an outright lie. Mormon clergy do not condone rape and excommunication is the standard penalty.

WHY did the NEWSPAPER feel a NEED to put the QUALIFYING info in the article?

Do you ever do anything positive for the Wesleyan Church? Or is your sole purpose to denigrate others who disagree? Do you think John Wesley would be proud of you?
