If you were in the presence of a man having a heart attack, how would you respond? As he clutched his chest in desperation and pain, would you call 911? Would you try to save him from dying? Of course you would.
But if that man was Rush Limbaugh, and you were Sarah Spitz, a producer for National Public Radio, that isn’t what you’d do at all.
In a post to the list-serv Journolist, an online meeting place for liberal journalists, Spitz wrote that she would “Laugh loudly like a maniac and watch his eyes bug out” as Limbaugh writhed in torment.

Listen. The leftist media watchers are watching Fox every day, recording every word, wishing feverishly that some talking head would say something they can crucify him on. Then they will have a case. They will run to the govermnent and say that Fox is racist and should be shut down.
When Fox News is shut down, No network TV affiliate will be left unburned. There will be fires and destruction of TV stations. No reporter will be safe on the street.
What remains of the newspaper industry will be ashes.

Dictators use the current agreeable media to seize power, then turn on that same media in order to prevent a counter coup. Stalin, Mao, Uncle Ho, Castro, the norks, most of the African dictators, Khomeni, Saddam and on and on have done much the same.

Well, the American people certainly believe that and have been told so for decades. Most can't figure out that they have been "had".

Because they are a CABLE network, not broadcast. They fall outside of the domain of the FCC.
It appears that all billionaires are liberals and Murdoch is no exception. From what I read (I don't watch any TV) Fox News is somewhat more objective than the other networks but certainly is no conservative TV network.
But here on FR, Fox News is considered the Light. Why so much time is devoted to watching such programming continues to be a mystery to me. FReeping and reading are much better uses of my time.
