The US should nationalize the film industry.
Gee Ollie ,How about the Communist controlled Film industry as well???
Like I really care what a film director thinks about national policy.
LOL
Sorry I did not see your post.
...because that’s worked so well for the country of his hero, Mr. Chavez.
STFU
And we should take the advice of this putz because?
How about we turn Hollweird into an American version of Mosfilm? How about that, Ollie? You can beg for film stock from the State Ministry for Film and Culture.
Oh, yeah! That’s all we need. to develop the roaring economy of South Americans hell-holes
It's already doing such a stellar job of propaganizing for socialist causes that the leftists in government would not want to take a chance on messing that up. They will therefore leave the film industry alone -- until it wakes up to the fact that leftist propaganda loses money. Once it starts focusing on the types of movies that make a profit, then there will be calls to nationalize it.
We should nationalize the movie industry as well.
Right - because the Federal Government is far more experience in these matters - just look at how well the have handled the response! (is it tee time yet?)
Someone should nationalize his assets....
Poor bugger doesn’t understand the workings and shoots his yap.
While we are nationalizing his assets, we should look at his family as well, no , wait, lets include extended family.
Correction -
Mr Stone - STFU
US should nationalize, read:takeover, hollywood and make producers take minimum wage salaries.
How about nationalizing the grocery store industry.
It’s working for Hugo; why not here ?
There is one and only one reason for nationalizing resources anywhere: To enable leaders to steal them and bank billions of dollars in foreign bank accounts.
Where resources (and other industries) are nationalized, production drops, the free market has less value and REVENUES TO THE GOVERNMENT drop. In many places in Africa, countries with $TRILLIONS in resources manage to extract <10% of the amount they extracted in colonial times (>40 years ago.) Those countries could be earning $billions in taxes, salaries, infrastructure upgrades and trade, but instead, the resources remain untapped or looted and only the elites in government benefit.
