Former Mitt Romney supporter realizes Ron Paul is more in-line with Constitutionalism, American values and individualist freedom. What say other Freepers?

I’m not trolling. I think more Freepers agree w/ Dr. Paul on most things but choose to fall into the neocon way of thinking b/c it’s “mainstream”. Learn what Dr. Paul is about.

That’s the opposite of what Dr. Paul wants. He wants ppl to help themselves by ending gov. control once and for all.
To: citizenredstater9271
I can tell you why I don’t like him. Underneath he has no real grip on reality. When he speaks his first two comments are good to Ok - like smaller government etc, The third one is always off the rails. Bring all the troops home. Good idea but is not realistic in today's world.

“Ever notice how everyone who hates Dr. Paul can’t give a reason why they hate him? “
Paulnuts gave us Obama. Paul’s narrow-minded isolationist supporters are even worse than Ron Paul himself.

The only Purpose of Paultards is to get Democrats Elected (When was the last time you seen him criticize a rat?)...And they the only care about the Constitution long enough to use it to roll their next doobie...
Paul like most other pols is addicted to earmarks...What do you have to say about that?

I see you’ve been rEVOLutionized. Do us a favor, check out the Ron Paul threads here. FReepers don’t just buy the hype and hopychangy crap, even if it is claimed to come from our side. You’ll find we know a lot more about Fraud Paul than you realize. For example, why is he not welcome in the Libertarian party (by the business side of the party) any more. Who is Nadia Hayes?

He wants ppl to help themselves by ending gov. control once and for all. So vote for Cynthia McKinney, Ralph Nader, or Chuck Baldwin..yea, that's the ticket to end government control.. lol.

Learn what Dr. Paul is about. I have learned what Ronpaul is all about. He votes liberal: The Ron Paul Voting Record
"Ronald Paul has sponsored 374 bills since Jan 7, 1997 of which 371 haven't made it out of committee and 1 were successfully enacted. "govtrack.us

What say other Freepers? If you haven't figured it out yet, we don't do "cult of personality". When you fall into the cult of personality you surrender your Liberty to a false image. QED..Obama

"Ronald Paul has sponsored 374 bills since Jan 7, 1997 of which 371 haven't made it out of committee and 1 were successfully enacted. "govtrack.us There was an old Phil Gramm quote I used to post where he basically said Paul's bills couldn't even get out of committee because they were so poorly written and lacked any detail as to how to do it. (basically, a pronouncement with no actionable items.).

It’s sad that conservatism has sunk to the point that it’s not recognizable.
Ron Paul’s views are right down the line conservative...or what conservative *was*...before people began twisting it into “big government is fine, as long as it forces people to do what *I* want” and “cut spending except for things like making other countries take some responsibility for their own defense.” Of course, a “new-fangled conservative” is an oxymoron. A better term is “Lib.”
Admittedly, Ron Paul is not isolationist enough to be a true conservative in the classic American sense (not to be confused with a classical conservative!) But he’s non-interventionist, at least.
