The new United Nations Treaty is being designed to disarm all citizens of every nation on Earth. The treaty will give all governments a free hand to do as they please. It is making headway in Washington D.C. and it is feared that President Obama may very well try to use the treaty to consolidate his power in America. The treaty specifics are now being negotiated and Obama has given the OK For the U.S. to be a part of the negotiations.

Besides, the only way a revolution could be fought again is through the use of explosives.
read "Unintended Consequences" i think Ross has a good grasp on what it would take for a successful revolution. No explosives, no clear battle lines. Just walk in, quietly take out a politician or federal agent, walk away. Guns not needed in many cases.
However if it came down to it, do you really think every member of the armed forces is is going to follow the President's lead on this? Many would walk, and take their equipment with them.

Of course Obama will handsomely reward all those that turn in guns, and also give evidence of who is holding out.
Be very careful who you trust and those that want to know more about what you own.
The sooner we can get him removed from office and hopefully kicked out of America permanently the safer we will be.

There is already an alarmingly large amount of unemployed people right now, just how many would even consider turning in fellow Americans for a few dollars or some food is hard to say.
I do know the moral code of society is nothing like it was generations ago.

95% of gun owners will not turn in their guns for any reason. When confiscation starts it is not the time to hide weapons but the time to use them. Explosives are not the only way that a revolution could be fought and I don't know why you would suggest that it is.

Remember, its two thirds necessary for ratification, not the 60 they used for Obamacare. Unless something untoward happens to the entire Republican delegation, this will NEVER be ratified.Famous last words....
The same thing was said about the original AWB and the current Health Care Bill. Both got done. One thing in politics is certain: Never say NEVER! Know what scares me? What happens if this Congress gets the boot in November and they decide to leave the country with a "gift" to remember them by, so between election day and inauguration day they decide to ratify that treaty AND pass all the other parts of the Obama agenda so that there is nothing left of the country for the new comers to fix.

Yes they will. When faced with death or lengthy prison sentences for possessing a firearm most will get rid of their guns. When doors start getting kicked in and families shot by police, only to have the media portray them as dangerous militia types and terrorists for daring to own a firearm you will see most people turning in their guns.
The vast majority of gun owners don’t want to go to prison or disrupt their comfortable lives. Their gun is mearly a possession, and while the loss of it would be unfrotunate, they don’t believe it’s worth killing over.
As far as other means of revolution, it’s all a matter of what’s most effective. Going head to head against a military force won’t result in many victories but in heavy casualties. One man with a truck bomb can do more than 100 men with rifles.

The American Constitution is not subjet to amendment via treaty.
The Constitution clearly gives all citizens, as recently recognized by SCOTUS, the right to keep and bear arms.
This treaty clearly abrogates those rights. By signing onto it, the President and Congress are violating the Constitution.
This will create a national crisis. A failure by the Courts to stop such an action would be an act of rebellion on the part of the Courts against the Constitution and a violation of the rights of all Americans.
Any such actions by the Courts, Congress and the President would entitle the American citizenry to invoke the alter or abolish cluase of the Declaration of Independence.
Remember, the Constitution does not GRANT these rights - it PROTECTS them. They come from our Creator.

No
they really wont. When faced with death or lengthy prison sentences for possessing a firearm the majority of firearms owners will realize that its either use the firearms or face a life of subjugation. Their comfortable lives are only comfortable because they have the means to defend themselves from government. Once they realize that they and their children and their grandchildrens fate will be slavery to a tyrannical government they will decide to take their country back.
Why would anyone go head to head with a military force...what makes you think it would come to that? How many of the military will decide that they will not follow unconstitutional orders? How many police will participate in confiscation when they have to come home and live in neighborhoods where people know who they are?
This isnt the Wiemar republic and this isn't Germany. The American people aren't servile Europeans, we were born from rebellion to tyranny, and we will answer the call again if we must. While you may have lost your faith in your fellow Americans I have not.

No, all I have done is ponder the situation a bit. Oh, and read Unintended Consequences a couple of times.

I'm a bit concerned over such a Democratic "Scorched Earth" play myself. I wonder if the unintended consequences of such an act would occur to them?
It sure enough would be one helluva mess to contend with!
