Please, if you have nothing positive to contribute then I beg you to refrain from commenting. I'm too sensitive right now for flippant remarks.

Prayers your way... I know many people that are lonely like you and just a little time does them wonders. Friends that don't care if their hair is combed perfect, friends that understand that there is bad days.

Just know that you are not alone, there is a friend out there somewhere.

It sounds to me like your main problem is location. Sometimes it’s tough to make the choice to move but if you could be closer to others you would solve a good many of the obstacles in the way of your personal happiness and financial freedom. First off, you aren’t poor, you just don’t have enough $$ coming in right now ;^) (perception is everything). Once in the right location I bet you could do any number of things from helping seniors or others more disabled, tutoring or mentoring, working part time for a caterer, proofreading, typing, etc. Take a look at examiner.com, you can make money writing articles on topics you know (earnings based on web traffic I think). I started over at age 36 at rock bottom and then amazing things happen after you take the first step. I’d say you just made yourself a bunch of new online friends right here on FR :)
And, don’t discount the possibility of having city and country sort of rolled up together, some locales have rural areas right outside small cities (like where we live in SC).
Anyway, please keep me posted on your progress, either through freepmail or this thread.

be careful. Me and magnesium didn't get along. My endocrinologist had it at the top of my list, but even a tblsp was too too much. I'm getting what I'm getting in my vitamin.

Ok, you keep going on about your age. I say this in the kindest way, are you checkin’ id's before they can qualify? One of my most intimate friends is 40 years older than me. We have been friends for 30 years. She will be 100 in a couple of weeks. I have a friend who is the age of one of my children, I love her like she was one of my children.

Sorry, just thought maybe you are limiting the possibilities by constantly point out how old, or young you are.

well, not really. My sphincter muscle just went on a looonnngggg vacation. I've not got a good digestive system and it reacts ‘interestingly’ with some plants and minerals. Just one long highway, in and out.

We tried building, 1/2 tsp was as small as I went. But I'm in my car 6 hours a day without access to facilities. Depends was my next option.

One idea I have, Miztiki, is volunteering at a local hospital if there is one near you. You can volunteer to hold, comfort FTT babies (Failure To Thrive). You don’t have to pick them up, just holding them and talking to them is what’s needed. Some of them are tiny. Also, you could ask at the hospital for patients who get no visitors or at a nursing home near you. You are lonely, there are others who are bed ridden or dying who are more lonely that you could be there for. Read to a patient for an hour a day, etc. If you’re a Christian, it’s also a chance to witness to someone. Just an idea. :~) Concentrating on others can help with depression to some extent. Been there. Am there.

I want to let you know that you have my greatest sympathy. I m going to share an essay that i found on internet. Hope that helps.
"Jamariss’ Essay
For days I would sit down in front of my computer and think about what I should write about for this scholarship essay. I thought about writing something with reference to my last name and the information I found out about my family and where it came from. I also thought about writing an essay comparing me to someone famous or important to history. I have decided to write about one of the most important events in my life that has shaped who I am today. Every year I participate in the Diabetes walk with Women of Essence, but last year was different. We had a young lady named Zina come with us; she is in a wheelchair so she uses access-a ride to get around. Access-a ride was scheduled to pick her up at the end of the walk but it never came. As a group prided on sisterhood, we decided we were not just going to leave her there. We walked for about one hour and a half looking for a train station that was wheelchair accessible but still did not find one. Eventually we came to the conclusion that we were going to carry her down the stairs for the next train station we got to. We completely underestimated how hard that was going to be. I volunteered to carry Zina down the stairs and the other twelve or so girls struggled to carry the wheelchair down the stairs. You’ll be amazed to see how many people shoved past a bunch of teenage females struggling and not to offer any help. We had to do this over and over again about three times before we got to the platform. When we did get to the platform everyone was in tears, including me because we could not believe that we did this process four times and was only offered help one time. The only person who was not crying was Zina. Everyone was asking why are are you so calm, and she turns around and said “It’s life, if every time it gets hard are you going to cry?!”. Her strength that day was remarkable, I don’t know how she did it but ever since that day she has been Zina my warrior princess. To me the most beautiful possession a person can have is strength. That only thing can get you through struggle after struggle. My mother is another person I know who possesses this quality of a single mother of three who I never saw cry and never let us know when things were going wrong. From these two people I have learned to be strong as well."

If only there were more people like you!

I think I’m a couple thousand miles away. Not far!

Thank you.
