Is anybody else out there having this same problem? Every year Bank of America, which holds our mortgage, sends us a demand to see our updated homeowners insurance form. And every year we contact a company that Faxes that form to them.
And YET... Every year B of A keeps claiming they haven't received the form. An endless round of letters is sent to us demanding the forms and we go right back to the company that sends them out and ask for another FAX to be sent to B of A with the copy. It goes on and on and on in this manner until finally they somehow receive it and we win a reprieve until a year later when the same routine starts all over again.
This year someone at BofA told my wife that they receive so many insurance copy faxes that it is hard for them to keep track. WHAT? So that is somehow our fault? Because BofA can't get its own act together when asking for proof of insurance we have to suffer in the form of threatening letters (they threaten to charge us thousands to pay for the insurance that we already have but which they are unable to retrieve from the faxes.)
Drives me NUts!!!
Make sure you get a copy directly from the insurance carrier and send it yourself.
Get the necessary copy and go to your local Bank of America.
have it sent to you and take it to b of a yourself.....very simple solution....
They must be too busy opening bank accounts for illegal aliens.
Carefully check the insurance form they get. Be sure the loan number, social security numbers, and insurance policy numbers are correct. If they are not, your forms may be going to the wrong account.
The company keeps insisting the best way is to have them fax to BofA. Plus I don’t get why BofA, in their letters, provides a convenient FAX number if they later claim they receive too many faxes to be able to keep track of it all. Why even bother providing that FAX #?
Move your accounts to a smaller local bank. These big banks are the worst.
Good idea, get your own copy, send it yourself registered mail, signed receipt, return receipt. Then send them a coppy of that.
Get a snail-mail address, then send it certified mail, return receipt.
Keep the receipt. When they claim they don't have it, send them a copy of the receipt.
Perhaps your agent isn’t sending the proper info on the form or sending to the proper dept. We have BofA and have not had that happen.
Or better yet, call the loan officer that did your mortgage, assuming you went through BofA directly and ask him to fix it.
It could be an electronic fax.
This is a mortgage -- probably one that BofA acquired from Countrywide.
You can't "move" a mortgage without refinancing. However, it might be worth it to avoid the hassle.
Send it registered mail delivery confirmation requested.
If they ever ask for it again, send them the registered mail # and promise to initiate action in your local small claims court to compensate for your wasted time and that you will be exploring the concept of a class action lawsuit.
i.e. Take no crap from huge faceless corporations.
Rent a safety deposit box at Bank of America and put a copy in there. Perhaps they will notice it when they are stealing your jewlry.
USAA!
And guess what he did....He put the call on the PA system so all his employees could hear what a lousy job they were doing. And he solved my problem quick, quick...
Maybe the twits at B of A need some more of OUR TAX DOLLARS, so they can get THEIR heads out of THEIR a$$es.....
