Nicolas Cage, the Hollywood actor, has revealed an unusual diet in which he eats meat only from animals that mate in a dignified way.
The 46-year-old, whose most recent role is a drug-addled policeman in Bad Lieutenant, said he doesnt eat because he does not like the way they have sex.
A report in The Sun said Cage, who won an Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas, ate fish and fowl.
He told the newspaper: "I love all animals. I have a fascination with fish, birds, whales - sentient life - insects, reptiles.
"I actually choose the way I eat according to the way animals have sex. I think fish are very dignified with sex. So are birds.
"But pigs, not so much. So I don't eat pig meat or things like that. I eat fish and fowl."
Cage, who lives in New Orleans, where Bad Lieutenant is set, has a reputation for eccentric behaviour and once owned a pet octopus.

I think this thread is approaching the NSFW catagory.
He’s always shown to be a wierdo.
Animals are required to have dignified sex. I wonder if he practices that in his own life?
He's an idiot......
someone once said about human sex; the pleasure is momentary, the position ridiculous and it is damnably expensive:
So I assume Cage won’t turn into a cannibal.
Something only a Dog would post.
Birthday ping!
Yeah, I avoid eating skunk, rat, possum, cat, dog and almost all insects.
However, if I were in a really starving situation, all of the above would be on the menu.
All the wierdness aside... and part of me wonders if Cage was just pulling somebody’s leg when he said all this... but an octopus would make a really cool pet. They’re really quite intelligent and inquisitive. It wouldn’t surprise me that once it got accustomed to its tank that it would be willing to interact with people and play with toys and such.
yeah, ok, i was trying to be polite....
You had me at “Nic Cage.” I like the guy, not counting “The Bad Lieutenant,” and what he does in his personal life is no skin off my nose. Most artists are eccentric. I feel sorry for the tortured ones and enjoy the benignly crazy ones.
Cage lost all his money, my guess he’ll eat what he can get ...

I watched “Bad Lieutenant” yesterday.
Run that in one window, muted.
In another window, run "Badger Badger Badger", full volume.
It's oddly soothing.
Or something.
Yhis guy is a complete weirdo.
I first saw him in the movie Valley Girl.
Hated him in every thing since.
His ex-wives have some good stories to tell.
I think it is something like 5 mansions.
