You Tube Video of Two HIRED "Good Ol' Boys" with Gulf Oil Spill Clean-up Using Hay (No-Joke!!)

This is not a redneck joke. Watch the video at the link above.

Two Mississippi Certified Rednecks to the rescue!!!!!!

These two guys in the video above work for CW Roberts, a big contractor in Walton County, Florida.

They have just received a contract to do their hay idea for all the 26 miles of Walton County, Florida beaches including Sandestin.

They start off shore with tug boats and barges spreading or blowing the hay over the oil.

If this works it could make the Obama Administration and the EPA and the NO-DRILLERS look kinda "chicken-little silly."

(I did a search, and could not find this. It came in an e-mail which means it has probably been around the world already. Sorry if it is a duplicate.)

If this works it could help to make the Obama Administration , lame stream media, the EPA and the NO-DRILLER ENVIROS (like John Kerry and his well timed energy bill release) look more "chicken-little silly" than they already do now.

Hay seems expensive, wouldn’t straw work as well?

Makes sense. Hay absorbs oil - washes ashore - you rake into piles and burn. Repeat as required. Seems like these guys are verifiable environmental engineers. Maybe they will be awarded a Nobel? No way, they didn’t graduate from the ivies and they think Castro is evil. Can’t have bad trash picking up Nobels.

set up a steam power generator station to burn the oil-covered hay and wire it into the power grid.

We can do that, right?

We don’t have an antiquated, disaster-prone power grid after spending $1.4 TRILLIONS in stimulous money to the economy, right?

Just great. Now the price of hay is going up.

If this works, it will be outlawed by the EPA.

In the video they use and mention other types of grasses that will also “do the job”.

I kind of take offense at these two guys being called rednecks. They appear to be American businessmen to me.

I understand that human air can hold a huge amount of oil in a spill situation.

Starting at about 3:20, one of the guys says straw works.

I think these guys deserve honourary PhDs. Plus the contract they're after, of course.

Another grassroots (ahem) solution is the hair mats that are being made from clippings collected from hair salons all over N. America.

See my post #9. The video mentions various other grasses to do the job, along with one which they mention is plentiful, and will be ready for major harvest in a couple of weeks.

If they start mobilizing the southern farmers and “distributors” NOW, this could be a big help for the clean-up.

Of course after mobilizing the southern states to do this, the Obamassiah crew will take full credit, and add the jobs to the unemployment count.

They ARE very smart businessmen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(They even mention it in the video as the reason for making it public!!

Let’s see if this story gets play on PMSNBC, and see how they “tag” them.

You know, this might work. I can see the oil attaching itself to the hay and then by scooping up the hay could be burned or squeeze out the oil. Anyway containment might work.

I've been praying that someone would have the good sense to try this. I've also been praying for all the resorts along the Gulf to come up with a deal on discount rates for those who would be willing to spend their vacations with the effort. I'd consider working with straw and hay for a low rate, cleaning up the beaches and sea food from the Atlantic Side. I don't know why EVERY thing has to come from the government — federal or state. We're not totally helpless yet. It's economical, keeps resorts full, restaurants could offer discounts to working vacationers as well and for the greenies in the land — it's environmentally friendly. Nothing more abundant or cheaper than straw and hay.

Stuff the hair into the Blowout Preventer valve - that stuff will clog the pipe for sure.
