"I felt it was a defect," she said. As a teenager, "It was a central obsession in my self-hatred. ... I felt like it was all anyone saw when they looked at me."
At 14, she asked her parents for surgery. A few years later, after she graduated from high school, Weiss got her wish -- rhinoplasty reduced the bump on her nose and pared down the tip.
Despite her new petite nose, Weiss began to regret her adolescent decision as she matured.

I used to know a girl who was an up-and-coming comic actress. Very cute, quirky look. Got her nose fixed and was transformed into a dime-a-dozen generic blonde.

From the article:
Despite media reports that the popularity of teenage cosmetic surgery has soared in recent years, statistics from two plastic surgery societies show that is not the case. The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery reported that the number of cosmetic surgeries for teenagers has remained fairly consistent for the last 12 years, hovering between 1 to 3 percent of total U.S. procedures. This doesn't appear, to me, to be a completely honest refutation. What's the percentage of teens getting the procedure vs. the percentage of teens getting them 12 years ago?
I certainly don't know the answer, but the prevalence based on my own observations is astonishing. It would certainly behoove the interests of the industry to keep this a non-issue if its popularity is indeed increasing.

King Roland would rather let Planet Druidia lose its atmosphere than let Princess Vespa have her old nose back.

OK after reading the article I see she is a lesbian and she blames her nose job on her strained relationship with the family. LOL
To: JoeProBono
Growing up, I knew so many girls who had nose jobs. One old boyfriend tried to talk me into it. I told him to go find someone else. My thinking was: Cosmetic surgery doesn’t change the genes we pass on. We each pass on those real traits to our children. I’m just glad my husband was willing to marry me as is... lol.
