Pimped out? More like “souped up”.
Some Hispanic will jump n that. (Again)
I know a guy who had an old beater he was about to trade in or take to a junk yard that was stolen, he got it back a few months later, new brakes, engine fixed, repainted. Nothing like what she had happen, but still funny.
Looks like they had to use a shoehorn to get that V-8 in there.
Now they know where to find it so they can steal it again.
Wouldn’t her insurance company own the car?
Ah...couldn’t the cops have waited until the new trani was in....??
Ya, next time they’ll car jack her at an intersection.
Besides a .45, she needs a cutoff switch.
“Overhaulin’ is an American automotive reality TV show that ran for five seasons on TLC between 20042009. The show remains available via re-runs and syndication.”...
“The show’s premise was that an unknowing “victim” the mark, in the show’s language is nominated to be “Overhauled” by their family or friends, the Insiders. Their car, usually an old and tired antique car was obtained through some ruse. Some common examples included the car being “stolen” by Chris and Chip, a car being misplaced or lost at a mechanic’s shop, or the car being towed away by “police”.
An integral part of the show was when the two co-hosts play tricks on the unsuspecting mark, sometimes acting in roles of insurance adjusters or law enforcement agents, other times helping the Insider, while Chip Foose and a team of mechanics dubbed “The A-Team” have a week to remake the car into a custom masterpiece. Each show ended with the surprise reuniting of owner and newly made-over car.”

Unfortunately she will receive a fine and a cease to drive order form the Obama EPA soon.
Highly trained “jounalists” in the media wouldn’t know a buick from a Honda, a 4 cylinder from an 8, or their butts from a hole in the ground.
“After three years, Amanda Pogany forgot about her stolen 1996 Honda Accord, assuming it was in car heaven. But recently the cops found it at a Queens chop shop, traced it back to her and called up the Brooklyn teacher. The Daily News reveals it was “returned to her drag-race ready, with a brand-new V-8 engine, tinted windows, oversized tires with special hubcaps - and custom valve stem caps shaped like bullet casings.”
I’m amazed at people who will spend many thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of work to transform a stolen car but can’t be bothered to read a book or go to school.
DANGER Will Robinson, DANGER!
A car with "... tinted windows, oversized tires with special hubcaps ..." is liable to be somewhat "cop bait" in terms of attracting attention. If the windows are too dark, nobody can see that the driver is a Jewish school teacher! Pimp-mobiles attract anti-pimp squad cars just out of curiosity.
Sell it and pocket the difference between what you get and the money you have to refund to the insurance company to reimburse them for the settlement they gave you. If you had insurance and collected on the theft.
Of course if as part of the settlement you signed over title to the insurance company, then the car belongs to them. Unlikely, since the police tracked title back to you, but...
