SACRAMENTO - ST. LOUIS - DC:
SNIPPET - quote:
http://www.teapartypatriots.org/Recycle/Recycle.aspx
Last year we marched on Washington, D.C. and asked Congress: Can You Hear Us Now? This year we will spread our message to repeal the corrupt legislation forced upon us, reduce the size and scope of government, and restore the founding principles of our nation with 3 large regional rallies in 3 great American cities: Sacramento, California; St. Louis, Missouri; and Washington, DC.
Tea Party Patriots local coordinators asked for regional events and we responded. This year, in the east, we have secured not only the west lawn of the Capitol (as last year), but also the magnificent Washington Monument in DC. At our central location in St. Louis, we have as our backdrop the equally grand Gateway Arch on the grounds of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, built to symbolize the beginning of our westward expansion and the promise of a nation which would stretch from sea-to-shining sea. In the West, we will meet in Sacramento, in the heart of the Golden State, which for so many on the westward migration symbolized the promise of wealth, prosperity, and a limitless future for themselves and our growing country.
In gathering in these locations we once again commit ourselves to the greatness and promise of America, and our core values of fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government and free markets, which secured the promise of our past, and is the hope for our future.
Join us on September 12, 2010 and make history, once again!

NEW YORK:
“September 11: Rally against the Islamic supremacist mega-mosque at Ground Zero”
SNIPPET: “On June 6, Pamela Geller and I organized a protest against the Islamic supremacist mega-mosque at Ground Zero that was attended by 8,000 to 10,000 people to stop the 911 mega mosque. And now we’re inviting you to join us again on September 11 at 3PM, at the corner of Park Place and West Broadway in lower Manhattan.
A giant mosque looking down at the cemetery of Ground Zero from the location of a building that was partially destroyed in the 9/11 Islamic jihad attack on America is wrong. It is indecent. The Burlington Coat Factory building is Ground Zero.
We chose September 11 because reports have indicated that the Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and Daisy Khan said that they would break ground on the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks: September 11, 2011.
We will honor the victims and all Americans, and fill Ground Zero with patriots on September 11.
We are beginning with a brief memorial service honoring the victims, and are not beginning our rally until the morning memorial services for the victims are concluded.”

Why I am a tea party activist (A Northwest Mom)
Seattle Times ^ | 8-22-10 | Jennifer Holmes
Posted on August 26, 2010 5:29:38 PM PDT by NavyCanDo
I AM a tea-party activist, not a racist.
I grew up on the Eastside. I went to college, earned a job teaching school, got married, bought a house, had a baby, and stayed home to raise my children. We live in the same house we bought in 1986. Our only debt is our mortgage. A few months before 9/11, my husband was laid off and for six years worked very hard to bring home the bacon taking on various jobs. We survived.
Every election I have cast my vote. Occasionally, I have written the governor, as well as a few senators and some representatives to express my opinions regarding various issues.
But that just doesn’t seem to be enough.
I would classify myself as a conservative mix of the various parties. I want a smaller government, an environment that is cherished, and citizens who take personal responsibility for their actions. I want those in need to be cared for, a military capable of protecting us, and the Constitution to be followed. I want our national borders to be secure and a national balanced budget. I want liberty for all, inasmuch as it doesn’t encroach on the liberties of others.

SUBMIT YOUR FAVES Theme song conservatives can hum going into Nov (James Brown “I Feel Good”)
9/9/10
Posted on September 9, 2010 4:41:28 PM PDT by Liz
Let’s get a theme song to show our unity as we gleefully approach November.
We know that Democrats face a series of dramatic defeats at every level of government in Washington and beyond in Nov midterms, according to leading analysts and opinion polls. The U of Virginias widely monitored Crystal Ball forecasts sweeping setbacks on Capitol Hill and the loss of a clutch of state governorships Nov 2. Such is the scale of the expected losses, that according to local polls, Democrats are on course to lose the governorships of left-leaning states such as Michigan and Pennsylvania..............and may be vulnerable in Illinois, long a Dem party bastion, and home to Ohaha and his WH crew.
Submit your theme song selections here.

“A ‘pledge’ to turn out ObamaCare”
Chad Groening - OneNewsNow - 9/28/2010 4:10:00 AM
SNIPPET: “An independent women’s organization is calling on voters and candidates to sign a pledge committing to the repeal or replacement of ObamaCare.
A recent poll found that 73 percent of independent voters think it is important that the candidate they vote for this November supports repealing or replacing the unpopular healthcare law rammed through Congress earlier this year by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Barack Obama. The survey was conducted by Democratic pollster Doug Schoen for the Independent Women’s Voice (IWV), an affiliate organization of the Independent Women’s Forum.
IWV spokeswoman Charlotte Hays says her organization is encouraging citizens to sign its “ObamaCare Repeal Pledge” to hold candidates, incumbents, and voters accountable for overturning what IWV calls “government takeover of our medical care.”
“This is an unusual election. Voters are really, really angry,” she observes. “But what we’ve got to do is get these pledges on record. In a way, this is getting politicians’ promises in writing — and I think if we do this, it could have a great outcome.””
