Write your local media. Tell them what YOU think of the economy, budget deficit, MORE TAXES, medicare cuts, socialism, socialized healthcare, socialized medicine, doctors quitting and oh yes, the new “healthcare” bill which is now a law.
Just DO IT.

“What will stop them now?”
Sandy Rios - Guest Columnist - 3/25/2010 8:30:00 AM
SNIPPET: “The 20 percentage points that divide Americans now on the issue of healthcare can, without a doubt, be attributed to alternative media talk radio, FOX News, conservative on-line publications, blogs, conservative pundits on many channels...etc. How else would Americans know they had reason to be concerned?
Yes, alternative conservative media is a force to be reckoned with. And until they are destroyed, the left may not prevail. Whether by the community panels in the FCC’s “localism” proposal the Fairness Doctrine by another name or other regulations and rules to be determined, look for the assault on alternative media to commence again shortly.
What will stop them now? Apart from the power of God, those of us in media still have the ability to fight with our words. Surely there are enough voices in and out of media who value free speech enough to do battle for this last bastion of hope.
What will stop them? A healthy dose of unbridled truth, powerfully written and spoken and broadcast daily, faithfully, relentlessly. That will stop them...for now.”

Facebook Group Started 3/15/2010 Opposing Obamacare Reaches 1,000,000 Fans

In a nod to the strange new world of online activism, Americans who oppose President Barack Obamas health care reform package, known as Obamacare, formed a Facebook page entitled:
I bet we can find 1,000,000+ people who disapprove of the Health Care Bill
The page was started on March 15, 2010, and just 11 days later at approximately 11:45PM eastern time, the 1,000,000 person signed on as an opponent of Obamacare. This kind of flash online activism by everyday Americans who oppose the massive government health care program just passed by Congress and the President could pose a major obstacle to Obamas efforts to sell his health care package to the country in the next week with multiple rallies at various places in the United States. Heres how organizers described their page:
This Group was started on March 15, 2010 to send a substantial message to those in Washington who are not listening to their constituents.
The purpose of this Group is to serve as an outlet and organizational platform for those that believe in health care reform, but believe that such should be bipartisan, fiscally responsible, minimize role of government and be approved through a legislative process true to the intent of our Constitution. We welcome people of all party affiliations.
Since the bill was passed, this group has had phenomenal record setting growth of 200-300 new members per minute. Our title says 1,000,000+ and we well expect millions to join us in this fight.
We will continue to serve as a basis for information, ideas and a platform to mobilize action to repeal this law. Our fight will remain focused, civilized and non violent and will continue until our goal is achieved. Here is their brief message announcing the crossing of 1,000,000 Obamacare opponents signed up:
*********ALERT******** CONGRATULATIONS ON FIRST 1,000,000 at 11:45 PM Fri March 26, 2010.
The ability to add 100,000 people a day on average to a Facebook page animated solely by its opposition to the massive Obamacare package is an indication of the high level of grassroots energy in America that is presently mobilizing against the Presidents signature initiative. Many Democrats and establishment media types have been claiming that Obamacare is rising in popularity with the public since its passage last weekend, but sites like this one provide some evidence of the opposite effect: a rising tide of activism objecting to the passage of the massive bill.
Even Obama says GO FOR IT.

In the days since the enactment of their health care plan, Democrats in Washington have been desperately seeking to lodge the new program in the pantheon of American public-policy achievements. House Democratic whip James Clyburn compared the bill to the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Vice President Biden argued it vindicates a century of health reform efforts by Democrats and Republicans alike. House speaker Nancy Pelosi said health insurance reform will stand alongside Social Security and Medicare in the annals of American history.
Even putting aside the fact that Social Security and Medicare are going broke and taking the rest of the government with them, these frantic forced analogies are preposterous. The new law is a ghastly mess, which began as a badly misguided technocratic pipe dream and was then degraded into ruinous incoherence by the madcap process of its enactment.
The appeals to history are understandable, however, because the Democrats know that the law is also exceedingly vulnerable to a wholesale repeal effort: Its major provisions do not take effect for four years, yet in the interim it is likely to begin wreaking havoc with the health care sectorraising insurance premiums, health care costs, and public anxieties. If those major provisions do take effect, moreover, the true costs of the program will soon become clear, and its unsustainable structure will grow painfully obvious. So, to protect it from an angry public and from Republicans armed with alternatives, the new law must be made to seem thoroughly established and utterly irrevocablea fact on the ground that must be lived with; tweaked, if necessary, at the edges, but at its core politically untouchable.
But it is no such thing.(continued)

As the House health-care debate entered the homestretch on Sunday, GOP lawmakers interacted with the protesters who had gathered outside the Capitol. There was a very, very large group of people, and many flags from our heritage were on display, recalls Rep. Geoff Davis (R., Ky.).
Davis and fellow Republican representative Mary Fallin (Okla.) borrowed one of those flags a yellow one bearing an image of a rattlesnake and the words Dont Tread on Me brought it upstairs, and hung it from the buildings balcony.
That flag has become a staple of tea-party rallies nationwide. Its appearance at the Capitol last weekend was only the latest of many times it has symbolized American resistance to government encroachments on individual liberty.

Most Say Tea Party Has Better Understanding of Issues than Congress Sunday, March 28, 2010
In official Washington, some consider the Tea Party movement a fringe element in society, but voters across the nation feel closer to the Tea Party movement than they do to Congress.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 52% of U.S. voters believe the average member of the Tea Party movement has a better understanding of the issues facing America today than the average member of Congress. Only 30% believe that those in Congress have a better understanding of the key issues facing the nation.
When it comes to those issues, 47% think that their own political views are closer to those of the average Tea Party member than to the views of the average member of Congress. On this point, 26% feel closer to Congress.
Finally, 46% of voters say that the average Tea Party member is more ethical than the average member of Congress. Twenty-seven percent (27%) say that the average member of Congress is more ethical.
