The "Trolls" Like Palin Most
March 5, 2010 | vanity

Posted on 03/05/2010 10:38:11 AM PST by CondoleezzaProtege

Sometimes I wonder if Governor Palin realizes that it's not the media's distortions of her and her family that create such strong reactions against her. It's precisely the most devout haters who do see the real her, and that's what they're afraid of. They hate that she's smart. They hate that she's capable. They hate that she's perfectly qualified to be President.

They hate her becuase she is likeable, and they don't want to like her. Their feelings stem from a combination of fear, envy, inadequacy about their own selves, insecurity in their amoral value system, etc...

So to satisfy their insecurities, many will stay in their alternate universe and continue to believe in a Palin caricature of their own making.

NOTE: Sure there are some reasonable minded people that still have legitimate questions about what kind of leader she'd be, and need more time to decide if they'd consider voting for her. These are not the people I am referring to.

So, when so-called experts presume the idea that Palin is not "electable," it has little to do with any perceived lack of qualifications or abilities, or even her stances on policy. The staunchest detractors are those who are afraid of the good in Sarah Palin, not the flaws.

Palin should be lookign for ways to show that she has the depth to support her stances.

Are you talking about the depth of understanding that got us into the situation we are in? All of those politicians were vetted by the media as having gravitas.

Take a look at her record of how she solves problems, how she gets people of both parties working on solutions, how she makes decisions, how she draws the line against corruption. There is a lot of evidence in her record to look at. Is she Washingtonized? Thankfully, no.

The delusions and blindness of Palinistas is not only astounding it is scary. I could go on and answer each of your statments one by one but seriously, what’s the use? You live in a crafully contructed dream world and reject out of hand anything that might remotely disturb the fantasyAll I can say is you’re in for a rude awakening when the tides of reality swamp your shores.

So then you're not one of the more "reasonable minded people that still have legitimate questions about what kind of leader she'd be, and need more time to decide if they'd consider voting for her"?

LOL!

Re #1

Lew Rockwell called Palin his main target.
One of Paul’s CFL forums said that Palin was their #1 enemy.

They are really concerned she will make them irrelevant.

As long as you now know that Sarah was never shopping a reality show! It may be that someone reported that incorrectly, but why are you so quick to believe that?

Sarah made it clear that she was never shopping for a reality show. I certainly hope that you understand that now.

courting reality shows

Had to stop reading at this point. That pretty much took the gravitas out of anything else you said.

And its been all over FR its a documentary about Alaska and her people, NOT Palin. If you'd actually use a decent source instead of the MSM, you might actually learn something.

And gravitas? Please. She has more than the other nationally recognized Republicans combined. The MSM wouldn't bother with her if she didn't have gravitas.

Very clever post. Well done.

After my second read, I got a big kick out of : “no experience in Washington politics or foreign affairs.”

PIPER PALIN 2044!

Sure she's only six years old but she's SARAH AMERICA'S daughter so that makes her qualified to hold this nation's highest office after she reaches the age of thirty-five.

I love Sarah and would take a bullet for her anyday, and I have voted for her in more elections than 90% of her supporters have, but I don’t think she would make a good president. To polarizing. Also, I don’t like it when people like you do a pschyological work-up on people you don’t know, just because they don’t agree with you. You sound like all those idiotic “Christians” on here that get off telling others how inferior they are because they dare to be Catholic or Mormon.

Hey Bob, have you ever thought of writing a book about your experience with the failed FRN? I mean, Gov. Palin wrote a book about her failed campaign and look where it got her!

To polarizing.

SO Abraham Lincoln wasn't a good President?

He won the election by a thread, he was parodied and mocked to no end in every paper you can think of, he presided over a country torn in literal two, and his cabinet was A Team of Rivals (the title of a wonderful book written by Doris Kearns, and Palin considers it her favorite political read.)

And PS: my post was not referring to rational-minded people who have their doubts. I made that quite clear. My post was referring to the people who have visceral, personal hatred toward her and her family. The kind of people who want to make her out to be some mindless caricature. The kind of people who reflexively insult Christians who are open about their faith.

I stand by my conclusions.
