They disregard the fact that Dr. Bishop had incidents that were clear that she had shown dangers. But, like any anti-gun groups, they rather see worthless laws passed that strip people's right to have firearms while leaving criminals roam free in the streets.

They also forgot that Bishop was ALREADY breaking the law having the gun at school. The law really worked well keeping her from carrying didn’t it?

"A family source said Bishop, a mother of four children - the youngest a third-grade boy - was a far-left political extremist who was "obsessed" with President Obama to the point of being off-putting."--Boston Herald, February 15, 2010

'Oddball' portrait of Amy Bishop emerges:

"The woman accused of killing three colleagues at the University of Alabama in Huntsville was a suspect in a 1993 attempted mail bombing, according to a report by The Boston Globe.

The report broke the day after it was learned that Bishop fatally shot her brother in Braintree in 1986.

More than fifteen years ago, Bishop worked with Sylvia Fluckiger at Children's Hospital in Boston.

"I thought she was an odd-ball. Maybe socially a little awkward," Fluckiger said.  "I felt she was a little bit sloppy working in the lab. But we were not friends. She came to do her experiments in our lab. I had my stuff to be done. We didn't hang out."

In 1993, Bishop and her husband, James Anderson, were reportedly questioned about a mail bomb that was sent to the Newton home of Harvard Medical School professor Dr. Paul Rosenberg.

Colleagues at Children's Hospital were suspicious at the time, because Bishop was apparently angry at Dr. Rosenberg, although no one knew why.

The writer conveniently leaves out the fact that at least one of the police officers in the Maurice Clemmons shooting did manage to return fire and at least wound him.

So should we all stop wearing seatbelts because if we happen drive off a cliff and the car explodes, the seatbelt won’t save us?

This random and horrific attack also demonstrates the futility and irresponsibility of trying to force loaded and concealed handguns onto college campuses as the solution to prevent mass shootings and gun violence.

Huh? Complete non sequitur.

To borrow a line from Chris Plante, it's brilliant in a sort of demented way. No matter what happens, it's absolute, undeniable proof that we need more gun restrictions.

What is amazing about the media coverage on this murderous democrat is the damn MSM's refusal to discuss the FACT that she was an ardent Obama fanatic.

Can you imagine the media coverage if an American murdered multiple people because she was denied tenure?

See, that's just the difference between Americans and the damn democrats.

It's the Americans who get their voting records published with any crimes they commit, while the damn democrats' identities are quietly swept under the rug!!!!!!!!!!!

No one should have a gun because somebody could go crazy and start shooting people but anyone who wants to carry a gun is too paranoid to be allowed to do so.

What are the chances she’d have even brought the gun had she known there would be, say, a half dozen of them already in the room?

I see the gun grabbers are dancing in the blood... again.

"This tragic incident shows once again that an angry individual with access to a deadly handgun can commit mass murder wherever people gather, in workplaces, shopping malls, churches, schools and yes, universities

Most of those places are unarmed victim zones (UVZs. Well, not churches in Texas, and some other places, and some workplaces (Like gun shops :)) but the rest are UVZ's in pretty much every state.

In this particular case, the school was a UVZ... did the victims a lot of good didn't it?

Why does anyone think that untrained students or professors would be better able to stop a rampage shooting than trained security officers?

Is this what passes for logic? First thing, the plural of anecdote is not data. Yes, the Tacoma officers were caught unawares. So what? As far as campus is concerned it matters not that "untrained" students or anyone else can "better" stop anything. The right of self-defense is the most basic human right. There is no right to have someone else protect another. These people are delusional, and it's getting a bunch of people killed for no good reason than sophistry. Further, in an environment where the great bulk of individuals, in this case the student and faculty body, are unarmed by official policy this makes the University liable in every way.

If only they had a rule against taking guns to campus, Amy Bishop wouldn’t have broken the law against murder and killed her co-workers. Ummmm, yeah.. sure.
