ZOT! Why the constant posts on religion?
None but me

I have always thought this was a great site to get great political info. I come here for political/journalistic references. If you are going to make your queries 'Religious,' why not go to the religious talking board. I have been slammed here on what people believe is my perceived religion. These were for comments which didnt mention religion, and didnt have religious overtones. I

Memories...
In a landscape far, far away (For a Hoosier boy, 50 years ago - Denver was QUITE foreign), walking back to Lowry Airbase after midnight on a cool late fall night morning, ruminating over the late night TY show (something about miracles at Lourdes), I found myself stating what I'd heard in school: Big Bang, Evolution, etal - I dismissed the show as fiction; a religion advertisement, a sawdust trail appeal.
Looking up at the brilliant pinpoints of light, sparkling in the high plains air, I thought of how they came to be.
Einstien's formula - E=Mc2 floated up from memory...
Knowing that the equation can be turned around to M=E/c2 I thought, "Yeah! All that MASS up there now shining down - it appeared after the tremendous energy burst of the Big Bang! The rest is history."
Almost back at the gate, confident that I'd figgered it out, an almost audible thought(?) came to me...
"Where did the ENERGY come from?"
At that time; I had no answer.

I know several orthodox Jews who used to lurk here quite a bit. After awhile they declared it a Jew-bashing site and only rarely lurk. What are they doing, smoking out of a kosher bong? I've never seen anything anti-Semitic on FR, and I've been here 10 years this June.

I’ve seen the first three seasons on DVD. I don’t have Showtime, so I haven’t seen any of season four and don’t even know if season four is still going on or is already over. So when you say “last season’s finale” are you talking about season three or four?
Now I’ve got to know what ticked you off about the finale!!

Season four is over. I was referring to season four ending. I won’t spoil it for you, but S4 is a wild ride.

Feel for ya, babe. Where are all the threads about how awesome my Green Bay Packers are?
My wife wears “happy socks” every night she works on the skilled nursing ward at the local hospital. Some are holiday themed, others are just brightly colored. She’s got Yoda and Darth Vader socks, too.

Great! I can’t wait for it to come out on DVD. Thanks for the heads-up about the finale. I cannot imagine what’s in store...
Looking forward to it!

If evolution were real, humans would have evolved an ear cover by now, which could be deployed to shut out the puling of evos about their supposed persecution. If we were created in the physical image of a perfect, all-knowing God, we'd already have it because he would have forseen the need for it.

Nothing like endless bloody theological cage matches to win new souls to Christ.) Yup; so true...
1 Peter 1:17-19
If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth; knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers,
but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless,
the blood of Christ.
