Every Libertarian I have ever known has been arrogant and self-righteous. They have all emphasized legalizing drugs. They have all favored legal prostitution. They have all favored open borders -- Hey! Mexicans! C'mon over!!

Oh, yeah ... when they sit down and think really, really hard, they kinda favor reduction in federal spending too. Ya know, if there's time for that in between parties.

If the US did not offer welfare, free schools and free healthcare to illegal aliens it wouldn’t matter much how “open” the border was. IMO

I know a lot of Libertarians and none support open borders.

Most are just “Government should just leave me the heck alone.”

I am a Libertarian, and I do NOT support an open boarder. Wayne Allyn Root the former vice presidential nominee for the Libertarian party in 2008 says this:

*Illegal Immigration- I support securing our borders. We must first secure our borders to control the entry into our country of foreigners who pose a threat to the security, health, property or economic well-being of Americans. We must secure our borders before we can deal with the issue of how to deal with illegal immigrants already in our country.

*I oppose public funding and entitlements for illegal aliens.
*But I support providing a “Path to Citizenship” for 12 to 15 million illegal immigrants already here. Make it strict, difficult, and expensive- award citizenship only to those with no criminal record; who have proof of paid taxes; who learn mastery of the English language and American history; and who agree to pay a steep fine.

Seems reasonable to me.

I considered myself to be a libertarian up until I read your post.
I don’t think all drugs should be legalized. Pot perhaps if regulated properly as they do say in cigarettes or alcohol.
(not taxed to all unholy hell, but certainly some what.)

Prostitution, no.
Open boarders, definitely not.
federal spending, ABSOLUTELY.

So what the hell am I?
(no flaming please)
