Red-FACED American officials have withdrawn a photofit mugshot of terror chief Osama bin Laden - after admitting they used a Spanish politician's face.
The "wanted" image of the al-Qaeda leader as he might look now without his trademark long beard and turban was posted on the internet by the FBI.
But it was based on a photograph of Communist MP Gaspar Llamazares found on Google by an FBI technician who was dissatisfied with his collection of photofit facial features - and launched a web search, keying in "faces" with "Islamic names".

We are lost as a nation. WTF is a ‘spanish’ feature? Spaniards now got ‘features’? Shit, I mean if they’d put one of them funny little bullfighter hats on the picture then I’d say c’mon! But, instead they put a turban on the guy.....give me a frackin’ break (oops, I meant friggin’ - don’t wanna use ‘frackin’ anymore - BSG just really pulled a boner on its end game)......

I'm glad our highly sophisticated anti-terrorism experts go trolling on Google to find images that they imagine might look like the guy we are looking for. Gee, that sounds like a really sound technique. The only step they left out was using the Ouija board to confirm their choice.
But I guess the technician had fun - he probably turned off the Google image filter since after all Bin Laden was an "adult".

Can this Spanish MP prove he is not Osama bin Laden? He may have to if he tries to board a US-flagged air carrier.

If you say so, I believe it. The point to all this mess is this government's need for political propriety in all things deemed potentially, possibly, maybe, coulda shoulda woulda just might piss off some effin minority, religion or satan worshiper. The result isn't the important thing; it's how you get there - or maybe not......[cue in Ricardo Montalban whispering, "you don't need to 'feel' good, you just need to look good ----whilst relaxing your rump on 'fine Corinthian Leather" (or thereabouts)]
