Wind chill 1 degree in Southern Maryland. Too cold to work off the Christmas junk food calories that I keep shoveling in!

Not that cold. It's only -21
oF at 8:30 AM CST. That's up a few degrees from earlier this AM.
My digital thermometer shuts off somewhere around -26. It was blinking "--" at me around 6:30.

We’re expecting 14 degrees for the low on Thursday with high chance of precipitation. I was thinking “oy, cold”, then read some of the other responses.
Yeah, glad I live in the south for winters like this.

I'm freezing my butt off just looking out the window!! Glad I got a few things yesterday.
Unfortunately, I took my long down coat to the cleaners a few days ago and it won't be back until tomorrow. Sure....wait till winter starts...then take it to the cleaners...brilliant!!

Where is that global warming when we need it?

I'm in northern Alabama where air temps aren't supposed to get higher than 31 degrees til at least mid week with wind chills in the teens and single digits. Low’s will be in the teens. Fortunately here when it gets this cold it doesn't stay longer than a week or two then it will warm up into the 40’s. Down here we ride the temp roller coaster back down and up.
