I thought I saw Rick Lazio on one of the local political talk shows discussing why he was the best candidate for the seat.

Rudy would be an EXCELLENT governor for New York. I sincerely hope he decides to run for that office.

FWIW Dick Morris guaranteed Hannity that Rudy was not running last week.

He should run for guv. As long as he stays away from muddying the presidential race, I’m fine.

Somebody’s got Rudy’s number. I can’t think of any other reason why a guy with his personality isn’t running for everything available. There’s something dirty on him and the wrong people have it, I bet.

Rudy’s demonstrated executive talents would be wasted in the Senate but much needed in Albany where the office of governor has been a joke for too long.

Has he really said he’s not interested in running for governor?

You really can't be serious. Not conservative enough?

How about, Giuliani is not conservative at all. He's no better than Romney or Obama.

Conservatives don't support liberals, period!

Much as I despise that worthless scumbag, He probably was the best GOP candidate for US senate from NY. I hope he isn’t sitting out so that he can run for Pres..

I actually prefer Giulliani as Governor than Senator for 2 reasons :

1) He is a great executive and knows how to get things done ( even with a hostile Democratic legislature).

2) He is a social liberal. I don’t want him messing around voting and writing legislation in issues that affect the entire country.

Having said that, I am now resigned to the fact that the next NY State governor will be another liberal Democrat (what else is new?) in the person of Andrew Cuomo.

Rudy’s getting a little tiresome. Since leaving the mayor’s office, he never runs where he would have the best chance and could do the most good (winning in a leftist state), but runs where he has little chance and only confuses the presidential choices until the actual voting starts.

Damn. I like Rudy. He isn’t my choice for Prez, but he’d be a good fiscal conservative/law and order guy.
