FOX just reported it, but said they didn’t know what it was yet.

I’ve been in contact with someone at the plant just adjacent to American Acryl... confirmed the explosion..
and, he is now very busy dealing with the affects at their facility.

"Hoechst?"
Could be I am not the best of spellers. I've felt a lot of blasts living where I do, that was the biggest yet. Hope the plant workers are ok.

My son and his family live in Webster. I don’t think that’s too far.

Doesn’t look too bad , loss of one tank and associated producion pumps and piping. Hopefully no injuries, certainly possible if someone was in immedaite area when it exploded.

Is there a parent company? To issue a press release?
Apparently not. No communication with anyone at the plant, not texts to wives, husbands and children.

At least one man who works at the plant called his wife to let her know that he was OK.

I presume that they ALREADY did so, as typically that is stated within the first 90 seconds of any incident. Yeah. When they failed to do so at Ft Hood my heart skipped a beat or two.

Isnt there a nuke at Seabrook?
Right name, wrong state. There is a nuke in Seabrook, New Hampshire.
To: dblshot
To say there are tank farms in the area is an understate of massive proportions. There are miles and miles of huge oil storage tanks in the areas ese of Houston.
