On Friday night, Michael Savage kept reiterating that he was leaving early because he was going have dinner with potentially the next president of the United States.
He was trying to be secretive by using the phrases "him or her" and "he or she" -- but the only big name Republican anywhere near him in San Francisco was Mitt Romney who addressed some type of economic conference. (And Governor Palin was en route from Texas to Virginia, I believe, though perhaps I have the wrong date...)
I was expecting to see reports about this meeting of two great minds, here on Free Republic. Am I missing where information about this meeting was already posted?
Does anybody have any information? For instance, how long has Mike Savage been an afficianado of Mitt Romney?
Thanks.

C’mon. Weiner probably just paid the entrance fee to attend a GOP fundraiser. Nothing more, nothing less.
“Two great minds”
LOL!!
Any restaurant have a “Loser Special” on the menu?
I just want to know if either put out on the first date.
*ping*
I never liked Savage, but now I think he stinks. Romney would be even worse than Obama, because he has the same objectives but could commandeer the GOP as well as the Dems. The man is a total statist and a raving liberal even on social matters (pro-gay, pro-abortion). He’s a rich boy who is accustomed to buying his way into everything, and as much as I disliked McCain (and his closest competitor, Huckabee), I was glad at least that Romney hadn’t been able to buy the nomination.
I guess he’s coming back for another go round.
You’re assuming it was in fact a Republican. Jerry Brown lives in the Bay Area.
Savage is so vain (you probably think this reply is about you—Carly Simon) that he’d endorse anyone who doesn’t ignore him. Romney should have thought of that last election cycle.
I’m pretty certain that Dr. Savage did mention that it was a Republican.
I have the details here:
They had dinner at “La Quintesse,” a lesbian-run ironic vegan food shelf, meeting in the back storage room.
Pre-dinner drinks included flavored sugar-free selzter and generic brand saltines.
Dinner was a light salad, steak, green beans and baked potato with sour cream and butter.
For dessert, Williamsburg Orange Cake with homemade ice cream.
Cigars followed.
They are continuing their discussion into the evening, with a sleepover, followed by an all-you-can eat breakfast buffet which includes sausage, bacon, AND ham, plus a large orange juice.
LOL!
The 12/04/09 Daily "THE SAVAGE NATION!!!!!" freeper messagethread has an interesting post at no.14, where a freeper mentions that perhaps the Republican who invited the doctor to dinner was one of the Hunters or even Michelle Bachmann.
Hmmmm.

But it seems to me that most people believe his dinner invite was from Mr. Romney.
But... what's that all about in your tagline? You are not concerned about widowed chickens?
sorry Mitt. i was solidly in your camp last year, and before, but you were shown to have an exploitable flaw that the left, and the media, used to undermine your campaign. your religion, and the fact that it isn’t main stream enough, so the left/media could attempt to drive a wedge between you and the far right. that tactic would still be valid today... thereby making you a political liability.
if your desire is to help save this country, which i strongly hope it is, then you should recognize the only true front runner... Sarah Palin... and back her play. join camps. offer your services as a financial adviser or where ever you believe you could help make the biggest difference. it could be to publicly endorse her, step back and let it be known that your help is graciously available if she would need it.
all the star players need to come under one banner for a coherent assault, for we are not just fighting to take an election... we are fighting for the future of the country. such a fight demands you put your personal ambitions aside and do what’s best to insure America is still here for our kids.
It’s from Ren and Stimpy’s “I Love Chicken.” Very funny episode.
Stick a fork in him.
Nothing wrong with love.
I am no Romney fan but calling him worse than Obama is right wing moonbat behavior. He wold be clearly better on economic issues and understands the private sector far better. He would not trash America all over the world and would not have a bunch of communists in his cabinet or as czars. I DO not want Romney to be the nominee in 2012 but when we call him worse than Obama that becomes moonbat talk. We can’t let the anti Romney emotion (which I share) make us lose all perspective and call him worse than the Kenyan. Both Savage and Romney do not like Palin so it is very likely that they may have met.
Did you sign up at FR just to flack for a RINO?
