Very sad news, as a Detroit Lions fan, Chris was the heart and soul of those teams, especially the great 1991 that was one game away from the Super Bowl.

As a die-hard Wolverine fan I can say without any hesitation that Chris Spielman was one of the true class acts in football with the Buckeyes, the Lions, the Bills, and the Browns. My most heartfelt condolences go out to him, his children, his family, and his millions of fans and friends.

Spielman will forever be a Detroit Lion. I don’t know of any Lions fan that doesn’t love this guy. His devotion to his wife tells more about this man than anything else. God bless Chris and his family during this difficult time.

Prayers for Chris and his family.
On Christmas Eve in 1998, I read this story (in the St. Paul Pioneer Press) about Chris taking a year off from football to be with Stephanie.
A few years later, when Chris was under contract to ESPN, he took more time off to be with Stephanie. He returned every paycheck ESPN had sent him during that time.

Very sad news - Prayers for her family, friends and for all women who are now being told that screenings for breast cancer are not necessary until age 50.

Her case sure gives lie to the notion that women, ages 40-50 don’t really need to have mammograms, doesn’t it?

Yes it does.
And it shows that at the very least at-risk women should get them even younger.
Sad day.
