Stefanie Spielman, 42, wife of OSU great Chris Spielman, has died. She is beloved for her courageous struggle against breast cancer.
Stefanie is survived by her husband, Chris, and four children. A fund named for her -- Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research -- has raised more than $6.5 million for breast cancer research, according to the Spielman Fund Web site.

So much for the protective effect of having children! Poor lady; at least her suffering is over and she is presumably resting in the arms of the Lord. But her husband’s suffering and that of their children is just starting. Prayers offered for them, that their sorrow will be lightened and their hearts healed.

Rest in peace. She was a very courageous woman and an inspiration to many. Prayers for her family and many loved ones.

How sad. Chris is from my city, went to HS here and was always a stand up guy. I hate to hear the cancer took away his beloved wife and the mother of his kids. Prayers up.

Chris Spielman was a tough linebacker, but he said his wife was tougher. She sure fought for her life, right until the end.
