(vanity). Purge the Palin haters from our party.

Posted on 11/10/2009 11:39:26 AM PST by se_ohio_young_conservative

I am noticing an increasing number of anti Palin comments among Republicans.

I think this is a good time to filter the trash out of our party. We Republicans tend to tip toe through the tulips. But if we want to get our party back, we need to do it now. As much as I dislike Obama. and many of us mocked his "get in their faces quote". I want to ask you.

How did we dominate the healthcare debate in August ? We stood up and got in their faces. It worked. You can do this without being violent, without using curse words. Just stand up.

Some of you remember the days of Woody Hayes at Ohio State and Bo Schembechler at Michigan.

We can't be afraid to learn and pay attention to how Obama did it. Because Obama was great at getting control of his party and winning. Unfourtunately, he has no idea how to govern. The great thing about Reagan conservatism is, 75% of it is just making the country believe in itself again. We forgot how to govern in the early 2000s. That is how we lost, but we learn from history.

A lot of people said Obama could never be President for various reasons. The same attitude is used against Palin.

Everybody should read Rules For Radicals by Saul Alinsky. We can use their own tactics to destroy them. Right now, I think we need to use these tactics against anti Palin Republicans. Get in their face. Ridicule them. Freeze them. Personalize them. Polarize them. We need to play it like they are so far out of the mainstream. Perception is reality. Our reality is that they are so luke warm and we are spitting them out. Their reality needs to be cold and isolated.

It is not just about Palin. She is one person. But she is a good lithmis test to see who is really a conservative and who is not.

A lot of Palin hating Republicans don't want a woman to be President. Is that reality ? I don't know. But lets make it reality. Lets live it, breath it, accept it as fact. And then it becomes reality in it's self. They are frozen out of the party and isolated.

Lets do it.

Somedays I'm just more proud to be a conservative...

You want to help Sarah? Here’s some advice...

Shut up.

Because unfortunately, like too many other Palin “supporters”, you’re scary.

anyone who uses Hitler in an argument lost the argument before it started.

Islam and liberalism is the biggest threat to the Jewish people, not Sarah Palin.

we will destroy the party elites. You saw what happened in New York. We will do it again.

Thank you, righttackle44. I wholeheartedly agree with you. The reasons Mrs. Palin gave for leaving the AK governorship will only be magnified a hundred-fold as POTUS. Why would I vote for her? So she could quit half way through her first term as POTUS?

Exactly. In fact, the Dems will hammer that point over and over and over again if Palin is the GOP nominee.

If Sarah is the best candidate the GOP can field, we deserve to get our asses handed to us in 2012. The stupidest decision of John McCain's adult life was giving her a microphone. It was a desperate move that will likely result in the destruction of the GOP in 2012, either because she is the nominee or because she runs as a third party candidate and splits the vote.

So let Sarah run in 2012. She will lose and lose badly and may be lucky to win Alaska, where they probably wouldn't reelect her as governor only to see her resign again.

I reiterate, if Sarah is the most qualified candidate we can field then we deserve to lose.

You are correct. And few people here will face it.

Are you people nuts? You want to kick out everyone who doesn't agree with you? How the heck are you going to win an election.

Look, Palin is on my radar screen but when I see this kind of ridiculous idea, I wonder what kind of people are fans of hers.

There are thousands of very good Republicans who may choose to support someone else and that doesn't make them outcasts. Good grief. Have you ever heard of freedom of speech thought. If we continue with this desire to kick out anyone who does not agree with us 100% of the time we'll be relegated to total obscurity--and deservedly so.

Oh just say purge the RINOs. That covers all the Palin haters.

The Republican party has always had warring factions, but those factions frequently come together at key times. You can't win elections by making the party smaller. And if we get rid of the "RINOs", the conservative Democrats are not going to magically drift over to the GOP to make up the difference. That's a total pipe dream.

We are talking about who the GOP nominates.

No more RINOs.

No more McKeatings.

No more Do Do Buttafuccos.

No more Olympia Snowes.

Sorry, I would rather have the likes of Zel Miller than Olympia Snowe.

If I've said it before, I've said it a million times... oh hell, just read my tag.

Every time a liberal republican is elected, it means the party shifts left. And once that happens, it rarely, if at all, ever shifts back. Two steps forward, one step back is still a move toward liberalism.

Not buying it.

Odds are, if someone is anti Palin. They are not a conservative.

If it were up to the people running party right now, we would NEVER have a conservative President. they are lukewarm and pathetic

BTW, I am not a Republican. I haven't been one since 2006. I am a conservative first and always. Principles before party.

And before you go down the 'its because of you we get Obama' road, think about this:

Those who settle for a candidate and compromise their principles never win.

I am to the point with the GOP where I vote principles first. If that means Obama and the like, so be it.

But it isn't my fault, nor the fault of any other conservative. Its the fault of the GOP and those who put party before principles, and those who nominate candidate who appeal to the left.

That sorry ass line of thinking got Scozza in NY23 (thank you Newt) as well as McCain, Romney and Huck.

Be honest. You don’t want a woman to be President, period. You don’t want a conservative to be President period.

Your post does have sexist overtones.

Palin is the most dynamic and amazing figure since Ronald Reagan.

Actually, I think some of them are "thinking with their head." Unfortunately, it seems to be the small one, not the large one.
