The Republican party has always had warring factions, but those factions frequently come together at key times. You can't win elections by making the party smaller. And if we get rid of the "RINOs", the conservative Democrats are not going to magically drift over to the GOP to make up the difference. That's a total pipe dream.
If I've said it before, I've said it a million times... oh hell, just read my tag.
Every time a liberal republican is elected, it means the party shifts left. And once that happens, it rarely, if at all, ever shifts back. Two steps forward, one step back is still a move toward liberalism.
Not buying it.
Your post does have sexist overtones.
Palin is the most dynamic and amazing figure since Ronald Reagan.
Ah yes.. now you're playing the sexist card. You sound just as idiotic as Jimmy Carter and Reverend Al playing the race card.
First off, please stop comparing Sarah Palin to Ronald Reagan. Reagan did not serve two years as governor and then mysteriously quit because he couldn't handle the stress. It's an insult to the Gipper's memory.
We should emphasize the things that unite us and make these the only litmus test of what constitutes a Republican: our belief in restraining government spending, pro-growth policies, tax reduction, sound national defense, and maximum individual liberty. ... As to the other issues that draw on the deep springs of morality and emotion, let us decide that we can disagree among ourselves as Republicans and tolerate the disagreement. - Ronald Reagan
Face it. Sarah Palin jumped the shark this summer.
