In an explosive new book, Mackenzie Phillips says she was drugged and raped by her famous father when she was 19 and began a consensual incestuous affair that lasted a decade. We turn to Laz for wisdom and guidance in matters such as this. His unique perspective calms the waters of societal discord.
Another Satisfied CustomerTM. :)
And are now in positions of power from where they can force their "morals" on the entire country.
Remember she has attorney bills to pay after being busted yet again for heroin in an airport ... have to have something to sell to pay the bills. Definitely no dignity if she has to dig up the dead after 9 years.
It seems Laz has a divining rod to guide him. I had that problem for a while also.
I would hit two slices of toast and some mayonnaise.
I once read a long interview with John Phillips, and it sounded as if back in the day, the group members (with the possible exception of Mama Cass) would jump anything with a pulse. Of particular note was Michelle Phillips, his erstwhile wife, who would have extramarital trysts in the adjoining bedroom while he was up at night writing songs. One of her favorites was Denny Doherty, the other male singer in the group.
Since reading that I have never been able to listen to their music the same way.
“Words of Love So Soft and Tender Won’t Win a Girl’s Heart Anymore”......what the hell do you suppose was going on when THAT line was being written??
and he’d hold the mayo...
As I remember it, the only reason I would watch that show was to check out Valerie. I always wondered how someone so unattractive as skeletor could be cast in a TV show other than the Adam’s Family. Then I found out her daddy was John Phillips. The only reason the show succeeded was Valerie and the janitor guy. Other than those two is was pretty unmemorable.
Or, we can believe both.
Cass was known to jump ham sandwiches with abandon.
Valerie was most of the reason to watch the show. It was an OK but not great Lear sit-com. Amazing that it ran for 9 years.
Or, we can believe both.

Wow, that’s cynical.
John Phillips lost his wife Michelle to fellow bandmate Denny Doherty.

They weren’t such a happy lot as their songs sounded.
You mean she should feel bad because her morals, when she was 19, were not good enough to make her father want to rape her?
Pervs prey on vulnerability - they don’t hold out for Miss USA winners. Pervs rape children and comatose people in rest homes. I don’t know if her father did that but the destruction in her life would fit the pattern of someone sexually abused. According to my prof in school, in a person sexually molested, drugs are hidden anger. Even her ‘don’t hate my father’ is often a ‘tell’ of someone abused; an unharmed person, intact with self esteem, would probably say “I hate my father”. So, while I don’t know what is true I would hope that news of a possible rape would not provoke comments as to whether one is ‘rape worthy’ (appealing enough)
Not a single one of the Mamas and Papas was a boomer, they were all from John McCains and Jane Fonda’s, William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn’s generation.
They were not boomers like Sarah Palin and Tom Cruise.
We are now in our third consecutive baby boomer presidency. All three reputedly used cocaine among other substances.
Oh, I don't know. Not when you consider "Wings" ran for 8 years and "The Jeffersons" ran for 10.
I could’ve put in a sarcasm tag but didn’t think it was necessary.
But the sex positive teaching advocates sure feel that way. NO judgements. And our tax dollars fund thier agenda.
Well The Jeffersons was funny most of the time. Never did figure out why anybody liked Wings, had to be one of the most boring sitcoms ever.
