Police: Student Is Suspect In Yale Killing Victim believed to be graduate student who was due to be married Sunday
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Police have identified a suspect in the killing of a person whose body was found stuffed behind a wall in a high-security laboratory building at Yale University, law enforcement sources told NBC News on Monday.
The suspect, a student, has defensive wounds, and failed a polygraph test, police said.
The body found Sunday in the Yale Medical School building is believed to be that of Annie Le, a 24-year-old native of Placerville, Calif. She was last seen in the building on Tuesday.
Police found the female body around 5 p.m. Sunday. An autopsy is being performed to verify that the body is Le's.
Friends said the doctoral student -- who was due to get married on Sunday -- never showed signs of worry about her own personal safety at work, although she did express concerns about crime in New Haven in an article she wrote last year.
"I can't even imagine someone mad at Annie, much less wanting to hurt her," Laurel Griffeath said on the TODAY show on Monday.

RIP, Annie.
this is so sad
may she RIP
Something about the way this story has been covered seems odd.
The media is banking that the student will be a white conservative christian. Their favorite villain.
RIP little girl.
There’s nothing odd about it. This is not CSI.
I have had the same feeling, that the coverage has been odd. Perhaps it is that the police did a good job of stopping any information getting out before they wanted it to get out. Or perhaps the oddness will be understandable once they identify the suspect.
Rush just mentioned the same thing but put an explanation to it. The MSM all of a sdden was questioning the authorities like rabid dogs questioning everything including the kitchen sink.
AMEN!!! Something has been missing. I have heard NOTHING about the finace at all. WHY did she NOT have her purse or phone with her when she went to school????????? Someone PUT them in her apt. AFTER she was dead, I think. Or maybe I just heard wrong about the phone and purse.
At Yale? The media are not that stupid.
Perhaps because they knew she entered the building, never left, but was still missing.
Every time something like this happens it makes my blood boil. God rest your soul, Annie, and comfort your loved ones.
The story coverage does seem odd to me too. Why are they so vague? Maybe they have to be but it still seems disjointed.
Pure speculation, I know. ( Just curious as to what the motive might be to end such a beautiful young life.)
RIP Annie.Prayers UP.
I still haven’t heard the explanation for how somebody’s corpse gets “behind a wall” in an already constructed building...

You don't think not finding the body after an extensive search, in a building rather than out in the boonies somewhere, isn't a bit unusual. What was wrong with the noses of the search dogs? Or did they not use dogs?
What the hell is wrong with people who commit senseless crimes like this?
I agree, on Saturday before the press conference there were reports that the body had been found and bloody clothes were also found.......during the presser everyone denied a body was found....now Sunday rolls around and all of a sudden, they announce a body was found........
“Not a random act.” What does that mean? That her killer had some premeditation? Or she accidentally discovered a crime (like drug traffic) and they killed her to silence her? Was she stalked?
Seems odd the police would have so little to say, and that denial of finding her on Saturday, then not 24 hrs later they confirm they did. Almost seems like Yale is throwing its weight around to control public information that might not be good for Yale.
