Why are forum replies reviewed and posting delayed?

Makes it kinda tough to carry on a conversation when it takes hours to communicate.

I wouldn’t doubt that Obama’s team has scrubbed that particular quote from existence though.

I wish you luck in finding it. Three hours of fishing around through videos and articles (mostly dupes of the same things) of 0bambi is about all I could take. The quote sounds very familiar to me. My intent was to find it, save it and prove it.

Honestly, if Obama had made such a ridiculous - and instantly refutable - claim, I think I would have remembered it because I was obsessed with cataloguing Obama's bloopers & lies until they eventually just got too numerous.

EVERYBODY knew Blago & Obama had a longstanding relationship in IL. It defies belief that he would have tried to claim he didn't know him where there are a million pictures of them together in IL on file across the internet. Even he wouldn't have been so brazen to try to pull that one off.

Though that quote seems to be all over the internet on blogs, I don't think it's legitimate - I think it's probably an email urban legend or something. Pragmacratican (sp?) was correct in being suspicious of its veracity, IMO.

I don't see a real trace of it either. It's a good lib trap to avoid, one that lets them take the attention off the contact O and Blago had.

It’s a time warp thing.

Sorry, dudes — that's MY fault. I just got back from my travels. I must have set the flux-capacitor up too high and it affected the Free Republic servers or something.

Let me tell you about my trip:

First I zipped back in time to 1982 to remissness on what is was like when we had a President who truly honored the Constitution, protected the nation from all enemies foreign and domestic, and made you proud of who was in the White House.

Then I jumped forward to Jan 20, 2017, just in time to see President Palin be sworn in for her second term. That made me feel good too, especially to see even more government buildings with "for sale" signs in front of them as part of Sarah's continuing effort to shrink the federal government.

And I would have returned earlier today, but on the way back to present time I had to stop through Sept 2011 to watch some of Obama’s and Biden’s impeachment hearings on C-SPAN. It was interesting to observe the mostly-Republican House and Senate grill them and their cabinet for all of their unAmerican and destructive activities of 2009 and 2010. There was A LOT of squirming in seats during the line of questioning, especially when the email records were read and the FBI surveillance tapes were played by the special prosecutor.

Now — I won't spoil the ending for you. But I WILL tell you that with Byrd & Pelosi both out of office, and the new Speaker of the House and President Pro Tem of the Senate both Republicans ... well, the Marines down in Gitmo — which never closed by the way — are freeing up at least two new holding cells in anticipation. Executive suites, of course ...

I think the reason this quote might have vaguely rung 'true' to so many bloggers & why it was even believable to some here today perhaps is that Obama did in fact try to get away with the whopper that he & Blago hadn't had any contact about who Blago would appoint to fill Obama's senate seat. THAT claim sounded bogus the instant he made it - it didn't ring true at all because you could make the case that he would have been derelict in his repsonsibilities to his constituents if he hadn't have tried to weigh in on the Governor naming his successor. And eventually it came out that Rahm & Blago had extensive contact about filling the seat after all - as is his wont, Obama was parsing the truth on that.

As a side note, I mentioned on another thread that pseudo rev wright was said to be in washington by the infamous TMZ. They filmed him @ the airport. Would love to know what that was about. Why was he in DC? To give council to jones?
