Never had to worry about driving to tournaments with his clubs in the trunk or placing in the $$$ just to be able to eat and stay on the tour
Checkout Hogan Snead etc and what they had to go through
All he had to do is concentrate on playing golf
and that proves nothing. It’s not 1953, Bob. It’s 2009 and for what we know is that many athletes in all sports have juiced. It’s not unfathomable to think that Tiger used something to bulk up and get stronger.
And yet he still finished second.
I don't pay too much attention to the Dubai tournament, but tell me how many you think who finish in the top 20 know any Arabic at all.

I had a round like that yesterday....it got to be a joke with the others in my foursome. 16 holes without making the putt then finally I chipped one in on #17. Some days one can't buy a putt even with Tiger's money :-)
Please don’t get me wrong. I am a fan of Tiger, but the point I was trying to make, apparently unsuccessfully, was that the networks, including the Golf Channel, make thw whole PGA about Tiger. Yes, when he’s in contention, ratings are always up. This week, the ratings should be huge. I’m tickled Wang won. That said, I was pulling for Tiger. Now, with all that said, “GO GATORS”!

Your right its happened to me many times. Today just wasn’t Tiger’s day.
The build he has is easily obtainable with standard weight training without roids
He doesn’t even begin to look like Bonds— Sosa— Conseco -McQuire or most of the running backs and linebackers in the NFL
That is the thing I hate most about PED —if you get built by hard work and diet everybody who doesn’t work out thinks roids
I workout at LA Fitness and you can pretty much spot the roid look —Tiger doesn’t have it
I doubt any do in Dubai (their “national tourney”)...why should it be any different here? The Majors are invitations to the world players and English has never been a requirement. Being able to knock the ball in the hole with the least amount of strokes is the only language that should be considered.

That's unheard of for Tiger, even on his worst day and I believe today was his worst.

Golf is a high class game. You don't realize when watching but all those guys are adhering to a whole bunch of behavioral rules that have nothing to do with golf. (See anyone smoking anymore? It's not just that the TV cameras turn away from smokers. The pro-golfers just don't smoke on the courses anymore. I attended two days at Bethpage this year and I don't recall seeing a single player or caddie with a cigarette or a cigar. True, Daly wasn't there!) Watch tennis, and see all those little Russian girls. They all speak English, or French in France, it seems to me, when a trophy is presented to them. These guys are working when they're playing golf here; and I just think that people who want to work here should know some English. They don't have to be able to perform Shakespeare, but they should know some English. I know it's an old fashioned view, but I cling to it.

The reason it should be different here is that Dubai wants and needs foreign (to them) golfers to come and play there. The foreign golfers who come to the US or the UK care much more about playing in these tournaments than the organizers care about having them. I think Yang's victory is a great story. I'm very happy for him. But if he hadn't been entered in the tournament almost no one would have noticed or cared. If Tiger doesn't show up in Dubai, people would notice.

This crazy bastard's main point is that the wonderful tourney we witnessed today will drive white Republicans nuts and will lead to more hatred of Obama. Seriously, WTF??

Yang. Good grief! Where's the angry Anglo-American male going to turn now? Expect a huge up tick in bass fishing and swastikas.
