The reason it should be different here is that Dubai wants and needs foreign (to them) golfers to come and play there. The foreign golfers who come to the US or the UK care much more about playing in these tournaments than the organizers care about having them. I think Yang's victory is a great story. I'm very happy for him. But if he hadn't been entered in the tournament almost no one would have noticed or cared. If Tiger doesn't show up in Dubai, people would notice.

But these golfers either EARNED or were invited to play in this specific tournament and the rest of the Majors, for that matter they have to earn the right to play on the PGA tour full time. Give the guy a break...maybe if Tiger talked to his opposition he’d have bene better prepared to speak in English after he beat him ;)
