This can only help the world economy as more Korean golf clubs are demanded and sold, more golf courses are designed and built, and more fans (not me) are drawn to this world class sport.
I am very pleased with this win. I am getting sick of roided up Tiger.
For once, I found myself pulling for Tiger, the American vs. Yang, the foreigner. I’m with you as far as “all Tiger, all the time”...I too am sick of it.
Aside from his first putt on 17 (which he left about 8 feet short), Yang played real solid golf today
And his second shot over the tree to within a few feet of the pin on 18 was major league clutch.
Kudos to Y.E.
Did you notice how many people in the stands sat on their hands when Yang sank the winner? From what I could see more than half. Vote for Franken too? Minn. = no class.
Yang played a great game (69), Tiger choked (75). Simple as that.
My husband is in the living room on his feet over this victory. Says Yang played a hell of a game and Tiger choked.
Tiger really was off today.
Tiger’s putter was not his friend today. I’ve never seen him lip out so many putts. I’m not sure how much a factor the wind was, but he simply wasn’t himself today on the green. Still...70 wins speak for themselves.
To be the best, you’ve got to beat the best. Kudos to Yang, respect to El Tigre!

Should run up to Annandale VA this afternoon to watch the party. Korea-town will be on fire.
Y.E.Yang outplayed Tiger All Day.
Yang deserved the win. Tiger did not ( For Once )
Everything will be OK. Be happy for the winner.
I’m sure Tiger’s Arabic is fantastic when he wins in Dubai...as they said in the post interview his English is not great and having him try on national tv is not of use to either him or CBS.
Christ, I was there last night...head was killing me this morning.
Yang isn’t a foreigner, he is a naturalized citizen who lives in Southlake, Texas.
Tiger is probably the best golfer ever, but I like to see some competition. And I am glad a Korean who has paid his dues went head to head with Tiger and slayed him.
We build our hero’s up then tear them back down. Yang deserved to win by exercising self control, both physical and mental.
Tiger used to have that and as soon as he goes back to what his father instilled in him, he will be back on top.
Accumulating vast wealth also contributes to his attitude, he wants to win but doesn’t need to.
Ditto. Screw the rest of you bigots who resent both Tiger and Yang.
