Obama birth certificate issue not going away
Baltimore Christian Conservative Examiner ^ | July 21, 2009 | Larry Amon

Posted on 07/21/2009 3:42:26 PM PDT by real_patriotic_american

In a quest that is seen as wacky, way out there and as bitter partisan politics by some, the issue of Obama not showing his birth certificate to prove he is a naturalized American citizen continues. Is this really just some conspiracy theory along the lines of 9/11 truthers and alien cover ups? At first glance it seems like it. But surprisingly many American’s seem to actually believe there is some possibility of truth in this claim that Obama is not a citizen. WND continues to run stories on it but most recently a congressman’s town hall meeting became overwhelmed with the issue.

Many people will immediately jump up and say “Obama produced a birth certificate, what more do you want?” Apparently Obama provided a certificate of live birth (COLB) which is not the same as a long form birth certificate. The long form birth certificate should provide evidence that can be corroborated. The COLB provided on factcheck.org does not show a hospital, doctor’s name or anything else that can be checked, just a time and city. This COLB can also be obtained by non citizens.

Obama could easily release his long form birth certificate but hasn’t. Just to stop people from talking about it and to show that he has the most transparent administration, you think he would.

Many liberals, moderates and even some conservatives will probably read this and just say “get over it already.” There is a time to let things go and personally I already have. Not because I don’t think it’s important but because I think Obama will never release this information and even if it is true that he is not a natural citizen, that nothing will change. But should people just get over this? If it is true, it is the biggest scam in history. People never got over Bush’s decision to go to war with Iraq, should everyone just forget about this issue?

The argument could easily be made that if Obama does not qualify to be president than all of the bills he signed and executive orders he issued would have to be undone. This is very important but would cause huge upheaval. I don’t know if the American people would be able to handle this kind of event and the ramifications of the loss in trust of the government. It doesn’t mean the truth shouldn’t be fully investigated though but I sincerely doubt it ever will be

What’s the deal with the bear? You’ve got me interested now. Is it something current in the States? And is it having something to do with getting Barry out of office? Come on, don’t leave me hanging.

Evenin' ladies. Had some excitement this afternoon. Went up on the mountain to pick berries (2 gallons made into preserves and cooling as we speak). A misty rain was falling and I was the only thing moving in the cool, damp air. After an hour or so of wonderful stillness, I headed back down the mountain, a half mile through the woods and to the house. A bit later, Ms. cp was helping me prepare the berries when she looked out the kitchen window and shrieked. There was a big black bear standing not 20 feet from the house. After eyeing us for a while, he ambled off up through the woods in the general direction of the wild berry patch I had visited. Think he was trying to tell me in a friendly way that those berries belonged to him?

By the time I located the camera, he was moving away but I did take one (sorry, not digital). As it was still rather misty and somewhat gloomy, I doubt that the photo will win any prizes. I'll let you know when it's developed. This is not the first bear I've seen here over the years but he certainly was the biggest and not the sort you'd like to meet up with when armed only with a couple of gallons of berries.

And so you shall, pv. I'll try to get the roll developed tomorrow. Wish I had Val's camera smarts. Today was the sort of magical day when scenes of the mist and the clouds and the mountains and the stillness would have been a perfect photographic counterpoint to shots of my wild-eyed, screaming mad dash from the bear had that been necessary.

He also disappeared into the mist, avoiding the small bridge then slowly going along the path that passes my wood pile before it becomes lost in the ferns beneath the large trees.

"More berries?" Darlin', there are tons of them. I only worked 100' of the miles of old logging road that parallels the ridges and winds down to the little valleys. Never have I seen so much free dessert in one place. I'll probably go back tomorrow if the weather is good.

Are you going to take a peace offering for the bear ? LOL. I don't think they're easily frightened away even by loud music. I've seen a campsite that was apparently ramsacked by a black bear and it wasn't very pretty. Promise you'll stop by here whenever you finish tomorrow so I won't be worrying about what the bear is having for dinner ? :)

"And I still can't get over that a bear followed catpuppy home when he went berry picking "

Bear like berries. They will take your berries, and sometimes your liver. In bear country it's foolish to go berry picking without suitable ordnance.

No, you can't outrun them. Neither can most horses.

No, you can't "play Dead" unless you want to be. Brown Bear will usually leave you if you play dead. Black bear will settle in to have dinner.

Salmon, wine. La dolce vita. The beautiful Brazos. Some people have it made. By the way, Val, the bear picture came back. The flash triggered (it was misty/gloomy late afternoon) and reflected off of the screened porch (where I remained in relative safety) and thus I have a very gray picture of nothing.

There soon may be another opportunity to get you a bear photo as a mom and three cubs have been seen nearby. I'll keep a camera close by.

Servant, thanks for being available to hear this one. This morning just before dawn I was awakened by a terrible crash on the porch, just outside the sliding glass doors next to where I lay dozing on the sofa. I threw back the curtain and there was the bear, dragging off the porch with one large paw a heavy propane grill which he had overturned. I turned on the porch light, pounded the glass and yelled at him to no avail. Had the door been opened I could have touched him. He was that close.

Ms. cp grabbed the camera while I grabbed the rifle--just in case. We took three or four photos of the bear and he acted as if he didn't even see the flash. Finally, he gave up as the grill had become lodged against a porch post. After climbing down from the porch he ambled off into the woods. It was still nearly dark so I am hopeful that the auto exposure will yield some pictures this time although it still had to contend with the glass and screen glare as I was unwilling to open the doors or windows.

cp once a black bear has learned not to fear people it is much more dangerous than a grizzly. Usually, if a grizzly attacks and you play dead, he will smack you a couple of times and leave. A black bear on the other hand if he attacks, is gonna kill and eat you.

The last 3 years the black bear have had a population explosion and outgrown their habitat. One with three cubs is unusual, and is gonna be very hungry.

I no longer walk the dogs unarmed at night at our place in the Blue Ridge Mountains, because they have developed a taste for dog.

You have no business outside unarmed with that bear around. You can not out run them. I have seen video of a grizzly chasing down and killing an elk. A black bear is not that fast, but it is at least twice as fast as you are.

If he/she comes after you, he will catch you, and will kill you.

I don't see any other reason for his visit other than he likes you

he has no use for a propane grill

Unless he thinks there is tasty food at your house

A bear walked into my friend's house and opened up all the jars in her kitchen and helped himself

then he picked up her 100 pound bag of dog food, slung it over his shoulder

and sat under the tree eating it

Yes, Servant. But first it will have to avoid an earful of 6.5x55 Mauser cartridges, a present he or she came close to receiving today. By the way, a bit later I saw a fairly large doe run wildly from the area where the bear had gone. I have seen deer hundreds of times here and never have I seen one run and jump like that. Usually they will sprint for a short distance then stop to survey the situation. This one just kept going as if it was really frightened.

Palo, I hope the catpuppy shows up soon, that bear is getting too bold. Unless the lighting is really good it may be impossible to photograph a black bear at night, we may only seen his eyes.

I was wondering that very same thing, but evidently MRS. CP was VERY close by, because she was able to grab up the camera.

There are a lot of unanswered questions in this story

It begins with catpuppy sleeping on the sofa

He is wakened by huge noise

Then we hear he grabs the rifle, mrs catpuppy grabs the camera

where was mrs catpuppy?

where was the rifle?

where was the camera?

is catpuppy at the photo shop now?

WE INTERRUPT THE TOE SUCKING TO BRING YOU THIS BREAKING NEWS

At 7:30PM EST "Ruby" who is looking more and more like "Crusher" again walked up to the sliding glass door. Yours truly had just come in through that door. Ms. cp again went for the camera, I went for the gun. "Crusher" saw the gun, jumped off the porch, ran across the creek and stopped on the other side, too far away for me to know that I would not have a wounded bear with which to contend. So I put 140 grains of metal in the tree beside him just to let him know what might happen. Let's hope he learned his lesson.

I know. I hated to tell you what they said, but was afraid not too. I'm so sorry. These guys said it was probably tracking you well before you ever saw it. To be careful and to do just what you did do, today. They said when an animal like that starts this, it usually doesn't stop.

Another suggestion they had, was to contact your State Park Rangers. Sometimes they will try to relocate an animal like that one. A new location will sometimes rehabilitate them. The hunters also said this animal will use it's nocturnal advantage.

Quick update, pv. Last night at 11:30 there was a noise on the porch again. "Crusher" (he is definitely a male) was standing outside the sliding glass door, only a foot or so shorter than yours truly. He jumped off the porch and ran away.

I called Fish and Game this morning. We agree that he smells something on the grill so I have cleaned it thoroughly. If in 2-3 days he has not returned, that was it. If he does return they will come and trap him for relocation. They said that the reason they try to do what I have mentioned above is because whatever is attracting that bear will just attract another if he is removed. Also, they mentioned that 30% of relocated bears die or are killed soon after relocation.

Let's hope this works. These armed and restless nights are a drag. And that's a good name for a soap opera, "The Armed and the Restless."

By the way, I really enjoyed reading all the political commentary from last night by you ladies. It was like old times.

Catpuppy, you and your wife's nerves must be shot. I've seen a lot of Black Bear where we're going this weekend. One of my husbands best friends have bear dogs and uses them to track. Those poor things always come out of the woods with Porcupine quills in their noses.. They need to be "more learned up" he says.. LOL

My husband just stepped out the back door and almost stepped on a baby rabbit. I think he/she was trying to get in.. She's not afraid at all. She will be if she starts eating my flowers tho!

A black bear peers over a wooden fence behind a fast-food restaurant in downtown Trinidad, Colo., early Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001. The town of Trinidad is under seige, with 15 to 20 black bears a night climbing from the Purgatory River drainage or descending from the bitterly dry pinon-juniper tangles to search for food. Calls from people reporting bears on their porches, fighting with dogs, and tossing trash cans like toys are running the area's wildlife officers ragged. when catpuppy thought the bear was a girl, he named her Ruby. Now that he is a boy, catpuppy calls him Crusher

pv, I named him Crusher. Someone else (named Darlin') called him Ruby. Crusher does not like to be called Ruby. He hates being called Ruby. I hope he does not find out that Darlin' named him Ruby.

I remember him describing grits in the morning

and I had a hankerin' for them

that afternoon I ate in the Indian restaurant with my friends

that was a Wednesday

Harry had that dream that he and George Bush were close

(Harry's a left winger)

that night catpuppy arrived and told his first encounter with bear story

so it would be either July 25th or July 26th (the day after)

I remarked that these must be extraordinary times cause catpuppy encountered a bear and Harry dreamt a loving dream about George

i found it!! thread #84

25 Posted on 08/06/2001 20:49:27 PDT by catpuppy Reply To 19 Top Last ]

Quilla, you are a genius, I just found it

how did you find it so fast?

here it is,

85 Posted on 07/25/2001 18:24:41 PDT by catpuppy

nully, let me give you a "Crusher" encounter that did not involve me.

A few days back a carpenter was renovating a house about a quarter mile away from me. During the project, he stayed alone at the house day and night throughout the week. Part of the renovation involved extensive plumbing replacement so the water was shut off for a day or two. As the house is also in the woods and private, the carpenter just went outside to relieve himself when nature called.

The house is equipped with a security system which includes a motion detector and a security light which briefly illuminates when motion is sensed. Late one night, the carpenter felt the urge and so went outside. The security light came on as he left the house and then--after a few seconds--turned off again as it is designed to do. The carpenter began his kidney friendly activity and was about half finished when the security light suddenly came on again and there, just a few feet away and looking directly at him, was "Crusher."

Not even pausing to shut off his flowing stream, the man screamed uncontrollably and ran as fast as he could toward the house while thoroughly drenching himself and the path. He looked back only to see "Crusher" moving just as fast--in the opposite direction. Shortly after that, "Crusher" decided to make my home his.

He had to give up US citizenship...if yhe even had it..which I doubt when he became an Indonesian citizen. His stepfather..Mr. Sotero was Indonesian Muslim. He was sent back to Hawaii to live with his Communist grandparents 4 years later. Where he went to school and was mentored by Frank Marshall Davis. A well known Communist agent.

Go to HonoluluAdvertiser.com issue of Nov. 9 2008
for article entitled “Obama’s boyhood Hawaii homes
attracting gawkers”. Further down the page on the right
is a facsimile (or presumably, a copy of the microfiche)
which shows a simple , one-line birth announcement ,
highlighted. What do you make of that?

Egads. I don’t see anywhere in there that is says Hussein was born in Hawaii nor does it name a hospital. I never said he wasn’t born on Aug. 4th or that his parents weren’t Mr. and Mrs. Obama. Birth announcements in the newspapers are placed in there by the family, usually grandma. I have newspaper announcements from about a half dozen states but obviously I couldn’t possibly have been born but in one of them. Are you saying you’d accept one of those if I wanted to run for POTUS?

BTW, the address listed in the announcement is also suspect to some. Apparently the lady who’s lived next door forever says Obama never lived there.

As to your reply, I wasn’t challenging you, but instead offering some substantive “proof”, such as it was, that Obama has something to point to to put up against any claims or suspicions of the “Birthers”. Obama’s defenders present the false argument/choice that runs along the lines of “How would they have known in 1961, at his birth, that they had to conceal his birth origins??How did they anticipate he would be President? If he was born in Kenya, why would they have put a birth announcement in a Hawaii newspaper? (TO which I can only reply -—:Yeah, I’m not stupid, either”)It’s strange how late-breaking all of these “proofs” are, including the ONLY KNOWN piece of writing Obama did, from the Columbia U. student paper, called “Breaking the War Mentality”, from ‘83 or ‘84.
But you’re right, ultimately, a birth announcement proves nothing, and in this case, may even have included a bogus address. It may be no more “substantial” than the COLB that has been presented so far as “PROOF POSITIVE”. The real question, and the area to challenge, which area may yield more substance than ANYTHING, and all these ambiguous “documents”, is that why and wherefore of the amounts of monies spent on teams of lawyers working on Obama’s behalf, to quash all the legitimate suits and challenges to Obama to produce a real birth certificate to show he is LEGITIMATELY ENTITLED to be President.

You said — But I would like this thing with the birth certificate answered.

Definitely so. I would too, which is why I posted on that very thing prior to the election. After the election, I shifted to my idea of getting state legislatures to pass laws requiring documentation or else a candidate cannot be on the ballot. I believe this is what will actually *get* the documentation in Obama’s case.

The newspaper microfiche is so easy to alter and re-insert into the packet of microfiches, and it only takes five or six trips into archives at libraries and papwers to compeltely repalce the files for idiots and criminals to point to as ‘affirmation’ ... sheesh, no wonder the marxist bastard and his democrat criminal enterprise is crushing this nation under nazi style ‘change’, people are too stupid to have discernment because they want to remain ignorant!
