Good for them for helping Ford - the last vestige of the American auto industry.

Ahhh ... how cute.
He gets a new car an immediately takes his girlfriend for a drive.

You don’t see too many of those on the road any more, that’s for sure.
It probably gets better gas mileage than the hybrid!

McCain: It’s a nice car for the peasants, but aside of photo ops, I’ll never drive it.

I personally AM happy with the results, or happier than I would have been with McCain. Under him, we would have gotten largely the same thing, and under the aegis of the GOP. The dems would have been able to continue their bitching to their advantage while getting their agenda pushed through, then claim it was “bipartisan”. I’d rather the battle lines be more clearly drawn, as they are with Obama.

Do these clowns think I want to buy some little puddle jumping earth saving hybrid?
I drive a hybrid now. It’s a V8 powered five thousand pound plus Z71 mixed with a couple “smart cars” that I ran over and got caught in the wheel wells. I will need to get to the car wash and clean them out!
To: rabscuttle385
The car is kind of stylish. The driver looks like a Model T.

Your “hybrid” sounds like mine. :) Although I’ll admit, the Fusion’s a nice-looking car that’s gotten good reviews. And unlike the Prius, it’s a practical-sized hybrid for a family. I’m still not sold on hybrid technology (and in my dreamworld, if I was going to get a Fusion, it’d be a 3.5L V6 SEL anyhow) but hey, if people want it, and it’s packaged well and works, good on ‘em.
