As a maker of such fine daggers, I will take it off your hands, study it carefully and then dispose. I will provide you the proceeds for disposition as you please
Knock the swastika off it and replace it was an Obamalogo. Then you will be right up to date with it.
I wonder what the market would be for Obama Youth Daggers complete with the William Ayer's quote on killing your parents engraved on the blade ....
"Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, Kill your parents."
The Pope was a girl?
Blut und ehre on the knife blade. Blood and Honor was between 1926 and 1945 motto and greeting the Nazi youth organization, Hitler Youth.
Blood and honor are central terms in the Nazi ideology: the blood and honor of the Germans were of the utmost importance and accordingly were considered worthy of protection.
Oh, gimme a break!
CI.com...is this your knife?
If not, you’re wasting a lot of emotion with this post. If it is your knife, it looks like some fellow FReepers will take the knife off your hands.
DO NOT CLEAN THE THING! (unless you are an expert in cleaning artifacts)
Cleaning it will destroy much of the value.
If the owner would like to be rid of it, I’ll stop by to pick it up! ;-P

I think you are confusing the Hitler Youth with the SS. Lots of people make that mistake these days it seems. Thanks to movie and pop culture refrences, the significance and the role of the Hitler Youth has been greatly inflated in this country. It was modled after the Boy Scouts in the early 1930's as a patriotic organization. In the mid 1930's, all other boys youth groups were merged into it. In 1936, membership became compulsory for all German boys. IOW membership in the Hitler Youth meant that you were a boy who grew up in Germany after 1936, not that you were a Nazi.
bttt
Do you need help reading? Let me help you......
Young men and girls ( including Pope Benedict) were forced to join the Youth.
Do you need help writing? (YES!)
I will promise not to point out your poor writing if you will promise not to write poorly.
And FYI, no, there was never a female Pope, despite how you wrote it to make it appear as though there was.
I would not give it away. Authentic German relics are valuable. I happen to have a sheath but no knife.
Decide what you would sell it for. I might be interested for my grandson.
It missing the Jew.
Puhleeze. It’s just a knife now.
WE WON.

He probably left to start a DU thread about all the crazy right-wing Freepers clamoring over a Nazi blade. Seriously, CI...can you be a little more clear on who owns the knife? It's very strange that you post something as an email to your brother if what you're trying to say is you have a knife for sale.
That's just embarrassing to read. What a complete wuss. The knife is a piece of history, not a vampire.
It’s called “collectible”.
