Mom, Boy Who Fled Cancer Treatment Found
cbsnews ^ | May 25, 2009

Posted on 05/25/2009 3:39:41 PM PDT by JoeProBono

A woman and her 13-year-old son who were on the run from court-ordered cancer treatment for the boy have returned to Minnesota, the Brown County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

"Daniel Hauser and his mother have been returned to Minnesota," according to a news release. It did not reveal any additional details, but said there would be a news conference Monday evening.

The FBI's affidavit in support of an arrest warrant for Colleen alleges she fled the state Tuesday to avoid being prosecuted on two state counts of depriving another of custodial or parental rights in Brown County.

The FBI said the pair flew from Minnesota to Los Angeles last Tuesday on Sun Country Airlines. Investigators suspected they might have headed to one of a number of alternative cancer clinics in northern Mexico.

Thanks. I think I "named that tune" in one post.

Remember the old adage "You are what you eat"? I guess the poster in question eats very angry food.

"you would just pray over them and watch them die"

This is the committment that I knew that you would eventually give us, of who and what you really are. Unbelivers, and millitant unbelievers, such as yourself, are wired to reject truth; especially if it involves trusting the Lord.

That is why he asked: "What fellowship hath light with darkness?" - Don't waste your time trying to understand - You're not wired for it.

As I said, it may be agonizing but it is still life saving.

Were you a mentally-challenged 13 when you made your decision?

And like I said, there are other very painful treatments for different illnesses.

And I am glad my brother chose otherwise. People survive this all the time and the rate goes up.

Whether it is miserable or not isn’t the issue.

Your smarmy, condescending ignorance is really hard to take. - You are definately the most insipid, disgusting liar on this site. "Fake but accurate."

Quite the smug little holier-than-thou aren’t you? So you reject modern medicine in favor of prayer.

As I said, that explains a lot.

I use prayer to communicate with The Lord and ask His will be done. I pray for the health and good welfare of people. But I also know that the Lord gives us gifts, abilities and technology to heal and prolong life. It is a sin to ignore these.

Your desire for me to die as noted earlier tells me what kind of “Christian” you are. The kind that gives all Christians everywhere a bad name. You will one day stand before God and answer for your evil thoughts and deeds. Quoting the Lord on one hand while speaking evil with the other is just the latest.

Hypocrite.

Moron!

The way to stay healthy is to eat only real food, and stay away from the disease vendors. It worked for my father, it works for me, and it works for my kids and grandkids.

It works for all that really do it.

Who's the moron? No one got sick or died before these days of "plastic foods".

People died at a much younger age in years past. Read up on it.

He apparently does believe as the mother does, altho he says:

Anthony Hauser also says he isn't against chemotherapy "if it's a necessary thing," but thinks doctors use it too much.

and also:

And Anthony Hauser now agrees that Daniel needs to be taken back to a doctor for re-evaluation for the best treatment, said Calvin Johnson, an attorney for the parents.

Your smug evil talk is impossible for anyone to take, you hypocrite. I know why you “follow God.” Yo uare a loser and the only way you could gratify your feelings of inferiority is to set yourself up as “special to God.” You no more love God that you can fly without an airplane. You USE God to assuage your obvious low mental and emotional stability. You are a shame to God and all real Christians.

Get lost Hypocrite.

“That mom cares more about her child than any one else. This is no one else’s business.”

Hodgkin's disease is a death sentence unless treated with what we know works. If this mother cares more about her child than anyone else, then why is she not helping him to get the treatment that has been proven to work, as opposed to something that her personal ideology supports. If a child were bleeding to death, and that child's mother was a Jehovah's Witness and thus did not want the child to receive a transfusion, would you support that?

"So you reject modern medicine in favor of prayer."

Thanks for the reinforcement!

You just don't get it. "Modern medicine" is just so much sneezing powder when you do it the way that he said in his word. Unfortunately you'll never read it, and live your life in total darkness and bewilderment. Modern medicine is essentially witchcraft, because it does not even seek a cure; it seeks control of symptoms, for the enrichment of the practitioner. That is why God's word speaks so harshly of "healers,' and "physicians."

Their 5 year survival rate means nothing. My grandmother had breast cancer, did not treat it at all and lived seven years after she told anyone about the lump so she would have had it for years before she died.

My grandson had testicular cancer in his late 20s. Do you think a five year cure rate means anything when the patient is in their twenties. You can live that long without doing anything.

Well, I just spent sometime reading dozens of articles about this case.
You find that at first he is referred to as learning disabled, possible because he can't read. After the parents refused continued chemo treatment he is referred to as mentally handicapped or challenged.
It is interesting to me that change was made.
And to remind you again that when the doc says n% chance of survival they are talking about a 5-10 year survival rate.

Non treatment is a better option than the death industry’s ‘cure.’ There are far better ways to deal with all cancer, and none of them involve using poison. Proper nutrition is the cure for all disease; all that is needed is a proper analysis of what the cause is. Removing the cause is always the best cure.

Yup....I think that everyone can agree that Removing the cause is always the best cure.

My Mom’s chemo was pretty awful, however, she wasn’t ready to quit, even when the doctors ran out of options. On the other hand I have known 2 women who went thru chemo (one for breast cancer, one for ovarian cancer) who kept working thru the treatments, and as far as I could tell, weren’t particularly bothered by it. Different drugs perhaps, but all chemo is apparently not created equal.
