I’m here too.
Should we post beefcake until Bob comes along?

He wouldn’t have been as good if he had a clean face.

My husband is a Scoutmaster and on the troop Board of Review for Eagle applicants . . . . I'll ask him what he thinks.

"Should we post beefcake until Bob comes along?" Perhaps, if you think that will suffice until I make my appearance.
I was looking something up. Someone said fictional characters never do laundry. Mine did. The word laundry appeared six times in my book.
That should be sufficient, considering their laundry apparatus served the whole house, like a whole house vacuum system.
It took in the dirty clothes, laundered them, folded them and put them away again, automatically.
Of course, someone had to put the laundry in the chute. That, among other things, was the job of the slave.

Hi all. Longish day.
Not happy news that can finally be announced, but our rector is leaving. To become a military chaplain. So we now have to find a new rector. The good news is that we have choices.

Actually no. Only willing slaves are good.
I was a willing slave in my youth, when Mom wanted someone to lick the pot after she made something tasty.

I think it’s great that your rector is going to serve God AND his country by serving with the troops!
I had an uncle (by marriage) who was a chaplain in the navy during Viet Nam, and he served proudly.
Choices are always good. Really, all you have to do is pray about it and the answer will come to all.

My kids were willing slaves, too. Mostly for their dad, because he was bigger than they were. As for me, I bribed them.
They’d follow me anywhere with a smile, knowing that at the end, they would be rewarded with something they wanted.

We agree; he is going to perform a valuable service. The bishop, a Marine vet, assured us of that!
We have three active candidates right now; I know two of them and they are excellent candidates, though very different. The third appears to be very strong in other ways. It will be interesting...
