I know some jokes, but I don't know any good political jokes!! Could everyone post some good jokes here?
Thanks,

Phew. I thought it was me.
But I really did tell someone “Please don’t move while I’m sketching you.”
I don’t think I’ve seen someone go vertical hold malfunction like that before.
They must have been hyper.
Probably.
I had a MRI on my knee last week, and at one point they said "Don't move! Stay Still!"
OK, OK. You don't have to yell. ;-)
Did you feel anything odd during the machines operation, like a weird pulsing or odd rolling wave sensation at all?
I had an MRI done of my left knee, and it didn’t tell us anything about why said knee hurts.
But I did note the sensations above while the machine was running.
Yes.
For a few hours afterward, I was aware of my leg radiating heat, as well.
How could an MRI not give them enough information to diagnose the cause of the pain?
Dunno.
Means the cause of pain isn’t causing any physical differences notable by such diagnostic methods.
So it is a mystery for now.
Wow.
That was close.
Thanks!
Hmmm. There is an effect for every cause.
Thanks!
Still Friday here and I'm back. Sort of. Barely.
Reptile show today!
You’re welcome!
Watched it coming down all day during the conference, the only saving grace was that it was 32 or 33 outside because it was building great piles. My talk ran short, which meant I headed off to the airport 20 minutes earlier than planned -- slow traffic, but very little snow at the airport, good sign.
At the ticket counter I was asked if I wanted to catch an earlier direct flight to Seattle (instead of transferring in Portland) -- wait-listed, I dashed to the gate, got a seat and boarded.
Then things went awry. Just as we pulled back the snowfall increased sharply. We wound up going to the de-icing station, which took "forever" (over an hour). We taxied to the runway, and sat there a while after the captain announced they were clearing the runway, there were other planes in front of us, but they were running out of time before they'd have to be de-iced again (unlike us). Next thing, a while later, we pull off the taxiway and return to de-icing. The airport had been closed. Well over an hour later the snowfall had become minimal (vision limited by fog), we were de-iced again and sent to the runway. I think it was rain at that point, but definitely snow before we lifted off.
But I'm still glad I got on that flight. If I'd been on the plane to Portland per original plan, I'd have slept there (somewhere) last night.
Cute except for the red eyes!
Guess what?
I'm a Canadian citizen due to thew new citizenship law that whent into effect yesterday.
I'm eligable because my mom's a Canadian citizen. :o)
Congratulations! Be sure to vote Conservative, right, fanfan?
And here I was, sion, complaining because it was “only” in the mid-60’s for a high a few days ago.
Today is gorgeous. At least from a C of C standpoint. I’d rather have a 95, but that’s supposed to come next week. :o]
I’m glad you’re back!!
And just think: If you had taken the original flight, you would have nothing to tell us about!! LOL!
Oh, if I’d taken the original I’d have had stuff to talk about. But it would have been abut trying to find a hotel room in Portland or worse, probably. But thanks, I’m glad to be back. For 48 hours or so.
Then, are you off to Helsinki?
Yes. I just need to get rested up before then.
