By more than a two-to-one margin, Americans believe the Democratic Party is better suited to getting the country out of a recession over the Republican Party, according to the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll to be released today.
Almost half of all respondents, 48%, identified the Democratic Party, while just one in five, or 20%, said the Republican Party. Some 8% said both parties were equally qualified, while 16% said neither party was qualified.
Comparatively, in December 1990 when the U.S. economy was also going through a recession, the Democratic and Republican parties tied at 33% when asked who was best to lead through a recession.

By the "greatest force in the universe" do you mean a case of explosive gas during a Whitehouse dinner delivered from Oprah's ass? Because, yes, I think that too is a likely scenario of destruction for the whole DC basin.
“If Obama keeps pissing off our military, it will end up being easier to win than one would think.”
That is a very accurate assessment and there is a growing anger towards him in the armed forces.
No! What we are seeing now all is coming from God. Obozo is being built up high to be brought down hard and in the most humilating way possible.
What if the GOP doesn’t want to be serious about leading us? What if they decide to go the same direction as the GOP in the ‘30s - Democrats Light? We are through the looking glass right now and nothing is making any sense. How people are buying the garbage Obama is selling I will never know.
Ya bailed on that methadone thing again, huh ?
We keep saying people are going to “wake up” to what Obama and the Democrats are doing.
They’re not.
The Liberals OWN the media.
The Dems keep saying they inherited a $1T+ deficit from Bush, but the GOP never responds that not only did Obama vote for the $700B bailout, but he was one of its main cheerleaders. Why doesn't the GOP call them when they try to have it both ways?
No GOP person should ever appear on any radio or TV program without making that point. Then make it again just for good measure.
Amen
Obama is in charge during this decline, no matter how much he and the media claim it was inherited. The Dem's were in charge since 2006. Keep repeating this.
I can hardly wait till Obamavilles start springing up all over the place during this depression.
This is Obama’s economy
From November 13 - the last big day for the markets:
Bush defends free-market system
Mr Bushs comments seemed to please investors, as Americas main Dow Jones index ended up 6.7%.
